Logitech HD Pro C920 webcam Fix (Win7 64bit)

Here's a small fix that finally got my webcam to work on my computer. If you don't want to use up your data (or hear my annoying voice) I posted the steps below.

Step 1: Uninstall your current webcam driver.
(Control Panel/Devices/Imaging Devices/Uninstall Driver)

Step 2: Download and Install newest Driver from official website.(http://support.logitech.com/en_us/category/webcams-and-security)

Step 3: Add new Registry Entry. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\(6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F)
right click, new string
(name ) "UpperFilters" / (value) "ksthunk"

Step 4: Restart Computer

Step 5: Test Camera

what's up guys so couple days ago I
purchased the webcam the logitech c920
to be exact and I couldn't get it
working right away and if you're
watching this video the most likely
you're having the same problem
this is for windows 7 64-bit users but
it might apply for other uses as well so
let's get started first what you want to
do is uninstall whatever drivers that
were installed when you plug in your
camera mine had a built-in a driver
installer and install one that wasn't
all the way up to date so going to go to
device manager and find your imaging
device which minus the c920 is work and
right click it and hit on install now
once that's done is you want to unplug
the camera and then close out of this
weekend minimize that now you want to go
to the official logitech website and
find your camera you can go to the
webcam section and find a list of cams
once you find yours
click on more and find your find your
drivers there so I'm on the windows
seven so i'm going to click on download
and with that finishes downloading you
want to open it and run it
now since i already have the drivers
installed under 12 think the conflict
with it is going to get a list of
options of additional software you can
install you don't have to but if you
want to then go ahead but i just
installed the driver itself and even
though the driver install this still
wasn't showing up from there on
so once that finishes installing what
you want to do is hold shift and right
click and open up a command prompt you
can also hit windows + CMD enter and
what you want to do is go to your
registry so i'm going to go to reg edit
exe and you're going to go to HK local
machine and click on system controls
that one control class going to go down
until you find 6b dd1 fc6 and click on
that and you're going to add a new
string value and going to name it
upper filters and you're gonna give it a
value of K s th unk or KS thunk and once
you've done that you can close out of
that close out of this and then now what
you want to do is just restart your
computer and once your computer restarts
you can go to any free camera testing
websites i'm going to link one
description if you want to use that one
and it should show up if it runs on
flash is going to have to set it to
allow camera usage on your browser and
select your camera and once it works you
should be working with it should be
working just fine got my working so
