Checker board kumihimo braid

This is a tutorial on how to make a checkerboard kumihimo braid. Please feel free to give it a go yourself and I hope you enjoy.

Materials:

1mm satin cord
Square kumihimo disk

Your cords need to be roughly three times the size that you want your final piece to be, so if you want to make a bracelet, wrap your cord around your wrist three times and use that length to work with. Now for this braid you will need to make the cords on the sides about 30-40cm longer than the rest, as they will get used up quicker.
