How to reset Keychain Access in mac os x yosemite

This tutorial a Keychain Access for Mac OS X Yosemite. This video gives users an overview of what Keychain Access recover, deleting, resseting and anything about keychain password.

Resetting a keychain sets aside the original default keychain file and creates a new one.
To reset your keychain in Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.5, and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or later:
1. Open Keychain Access, which is in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.
2. From the Keychain Access menu, choose Preferences.
3. Click General, then click Reset My Default Keychain.
4. Authenticate with your account login password.
5. Quit Keychain Access.
6. Restart your computer.


To reset your keychain in Mac OS X 10.3 through 10.3.9:
1. Open Keychain Access, which is in the Utilities folder within the
2. Applications folder. From the Window menu, choose Keychain First Aid.
3. Click Options...
4. Click Reset My Keychain, which is under the General pane.
5. Authenticate with your account login password.
6. Quit Keychain Access.
7. Restart your computer.

hi this is digital by computing the mac
computers have a great feature that a
lot of people don't know about
there's an actual program called
keychain access
so what this program does easy contains
all of your keychain information
what is a key chain keychain is hence
the name a place we put all of your keys
so all of your passwords all of your
security kids your certificates anything
that's to do with security
anytime you open up your your browser or
you act for you connect to a particular
server on a computer or you open up
something that asks for a password
occasionally you'll see that the
password doesn't need to be entered
again
it's because it's it's saved that
password to remember that password and
has saved it into a key chain right into
the keychain access which is the program
that does all your management of all
your keys
so let's just go a quick look through
this it's really handy to have
it's really handy especially if you
forget your password to something so if
you're accessing a particular website
that requires a password and you forgot
that password changes up the key chain
may have saved that password some way so
you can have to sit a few ways you go to
applications utilities and then you've
got keychain access can also do a
spotlight search
look for keychain access and that will
open it up
alright so this is what it looks like
it's going to list a whole bunch of your
things you got your login you got your
local life we got system stuff so even
the login area you're going to have a
whole bunch of stuff
i'm not going to show you exactly
everything because i want you to see my
passwords
let's just say this top one here all
right
I open this up it's going to have my
account name
you know where Emilio this is not
particularly
can it like when I'm connected to this
particular server sorry that this is the
IP address and stuff has a whole bunch
of programs in it
this is a window ship and have access to
a few times then it remembers my
password so i don't have to
automatically add it now
great little feature if i click on show
password
it's now going to ask me for my password
to my computer so this is like your your
root password
once i put that passivity and I say
allow its gonna do is show you the
password in there
ok we're not going to do it for now
because then you'll see my password but
it'll actually show you the password
that it's saved that way you can
remember what that passed it is so that
is essentially what keychain access does
it does a whole bunch of other things
you can also delete key chains
alright so if you don't want to remember
that key chain again you can select a
whole bunch of them and delete all of
them
all right you can clear at all of your
key chains that way if let's say for
example you you you are going to a
website and you've had to update that
password sometimes the key check will be
holding onto an old password are going
to hear and deleting all those key
chains
it's going to really ask you to save it
and then that way you're not going to
have any issues keychains stuffing up
so this is just a really helpful thing
to know about
