address book from an email program here
again certain basic principles apply
while email clients may vary basically
all of them have ways to import and
export address books and even mail
messages and at the same time while male
clients differ basically all of them
support CSV or comma separated value
files so let's keep that in mind as we
go to export our contacts click tools
address book and see we have a few
contacts here now we could select just a
couple that we want we can select them
all
we can also select all by using edit and
select all with them selected will click
file export and we're going to export it
to other address book i can see this
dialogue we get a couple choices and
here's our text file comma-separated
values csv so we'll say export it wants
us to give a name so i'll call it our
contacts say next here again in
exporting the csv file you get a chance
to select the field you want to export
you look over everything and it looks
the way you want and you click finish
the program tells you that the address
book was exported properly
click OK you click close and that's all
