and in today's video I will be showing
you how to export or how to basically
use your convert your OST file from
outlook into a PST file so that you can
use it in other outlook or if you should
encounter on your outlook crashing or
losing your information from Outlook or
your computer crashing you you would
have your PSD file save elsewhere so
that you can basically use it in another
outlook
ok so let's go ahead and doing this so
firstly what you need to do first thing
you need to know where the file is the
OST file right and to basically nowhere
this file is you can basically go and
click on file and then you click on
account settings then you click on data
file now your outlook file is a data
file that you would be using and say for
instance bowl we're using one of these
emails right so this shows you the
location basically let me just put it
here
ok so this is the location of the of the
file right
ok now when you're when you're
converting the file if the file is being
used by outlook when you're converting
the file you would need to close outlook
so that you'd be able to have this
converting successfully or so that you
won't encounter any errors because you
will probably encounter and arrow where
it tells you that the file is currently
being you
used or so for it ok so let's go ahead
and find this file
ok so firstly what we're going to do
we're going to go ahead and close
outlook know that we have now that we
have outlook closed what we're gonna do
we're gonna need software that can
actually convert the OST file to a PST
file and what I actually did I went
ahead and did some research to see the
best arm OST to PST converters and based
on my research I have come up with for
basically i have five here but right now
i have basically come up with for that I
say would work best but the ones that I
the one that i actually used was the
microsoft OST to PST converter to see if
this one works best I basically tested
it and see that it actually works it
doesn't work so full extent because it's
only a trial version but i'm definitely
going to show you what it actually does
ok so what we want to do we want to go
to the website right as you can see it's
solutions . microsoft convert about calm
and listen / OST to PST converter 1 i'll

in the description below so that you'll
be able to just click and access this
ok they will bring you to this web page
where you would go ahead and click
download now button clicking download
you ask you to save work to keep or
discard he could just go ahead and get
on keep and it will download your file
now after it is downloaded you would
basically run run the run the B file and
then have it installed and once it is
installed at the end you will see a
check box where it says launch you leave
that checked and then it will launch a
program and upon launch in the program
you'll get arm
firstly you would get a window asking
you to
activate purchase or continue demo you
would go ahead and click on continue
demo and then you'd get a a page like
this and as you can see here it is
saying that it's the demo version
ok so this is the program that we would
actually use 22 converted to a PST file
and up on my end up on my realization i
will show you something in just a bit so
what we're going to do is browse for the
OST file let's go ahead and browse for
that i'll be using this one and then
I'll add it so he said its scanning
successfully completed so it basically
our skin scanned at the the OSD file
right so what we're going to do then
we're then going to let's say we click
on the email
ok so these are the folders that these
are the folders that it would actually
give ok so up on adding adding the OSD
file you then go ahead and say click on
your inbox right you can go ahead and
click on your inbox and upon clicking on
your inbox you will see the list of
emails that you actually have and what
you can do you can go ahead and click on
this box to select all and then after
selected all you then click on export
right and as you said this is a demo
version so it will only export 25 items
per folder
ok so after it shows you this prompt you
would go ahead and click on OK and that
you'll get this pop-up we know where it
has a PSD selected and then you can it
has the option of the boxes that you
want to select now remember it so it
selects only 25 items per folder so what
you can do you select arm this option
where it selects all you don't need to
check on this top box you can just check
from here where it's the OST file and it
will have all the boxes are selected
then you select your destination of
where you would want this file see only
selected dekstop okay and then we can go
to leave all options as it is and then
go ahead and click export and then it
will be doing the exporting
ok so we'll do the exporting ok so the
export has been completed successfully
so we go ahead and click ok there it
shows you are the export of how many how
many items basically it exported so to
say now this is just export report no
you don't need to save it you can if you
want but you don't need to save it
ok so bring you back to this window you
can just close the file and you can exit
the program now after exiting the
program let's go and look for our file
right so we go to school in the next
stop here and take a look
so as we can see here it created an
outlook data file know the always the
end PSD it will still say as outlet data
file because this format would be read
by outlook so let's see if this is
actually are recognized as a PSD file so
let's say we're going to our export or
import this to outlook
ok so i'm just going to launch a look
and see if this is going to work
ok so now that we have a local band
let's see if this option actually works
so this time you won't i'm using this
option you would use the open and export
option then you click on import / export
then you would choose the option that
says import from another program or file
then that would choose outlook data file
PSD then we go next and then we would
browse for where the file is located so
remember we started on the next stop
so let's go ahead and click Next Top and
here is the file i'm not going to
restore it because i already have the
email here but after doing that you
would click on open and then you go next
and then this would basically on give
you the option to restore it
ok so it's basically as simple as that
