We'd love to hear your feedback. Please help by answering this 2-3 question survey! http://csapps.acer.com/survey/yt/?v=Z2-NK3EyigU
This video will show you how to restore your computer back to factory settings if you have forgotten your local account password and are unable to login, and did not previously create a Password Recovery Disk.
This will erase everything on your computer.
If you previously created a Password Recovery Disk, then you should continue with that method of resetting your password.
If you are using a Microsoft Account instead of a local account, you can go to account.live.com/password/reset from another computer to reset your password.

hi this is brandy from a service I want
to take a moment to show you how you can
completely restore windows to factory
defaults if you forgot your password and
are unable to login if you forgot your
local account password and did not
create a password recovery disk then the
only other way to reset it is to restore
your computer back to factory settings
this means erasing all of your files and
programs if you did create a password
recovery disk then it would be better to
progress through that method instead of
what I'm about to show you to restore
your computer back to factory settings
click on the power button in the lower
right corner of the screen clicking on
this should give you a few options on
your keyboard
hold down the shift key and then click
restart keep holding down shift while it
restarts and it should load into this
screen click on troubleshoot and then on
reset your pc again keep in mind that
when you do this
everything on your computer is going to
be erased if you don't want to move
forward now would be the time to back
out if you're ready click Next
the computer will restart and load into
this reset your pc screen it will
present you with two options for racing
your computer's hard drive
both will still delete all of your
computer's data but the second option
fully clean the drive is a more secure
way of doing it that the process will
take a lot longer
click on whichever option you like all
use the just remove my files option it
will warn you one more time that
everything on your computer is going to
be removed when you're ready click reset
your computer will start going through
the restore process keeping you updated
with its percentage along the way
once it's done it'll reset on its own
and load back into windows where you
need to go through the first time set up
