How to rip a DVD with DVDFab HD Decrypter

This video tutorial from MattHawkins.co.uk shows you how to rip a DVD to your hard drive with DVDFab HD Decrypter which is free to download and use.

DVDFab HD Decrypter can remove all the DVD protections and some of the Blu-ray protections. It can then copy the contents to your hard drive. It is one of the free features of the main DVDFab application.

This tutorial will demonstrate the "main movie" and "full disc" modes where you can choose what content to rip. The "main movie" mode is useful for ripping individual episodes from a disc.

After ripping to your hard drive you will end up with an AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folder containing the contents of the DVD.

The DVDFab9 application can be found on the DVDFab DVD Copy product page (https://store.dvdfab.com/order/product.php?PRODS=4526544&QTY=1&AFFILIATE=54206").

The System Requirements are :

- Windows7/Vista/XP (32-bit/64-bit)
- Pentium II 500 MHz
- 512 MB of RAM
- 10 GB of Free Hard Disk Space
- A DVD Drive (or BluRay drive)

This only applies to DVD Video discs and not DVD data discs that just have media files dumped on them. A DVD Video disc has an AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folder.

NOTE : When using the free part of DVDFab you must stick to the "DVD Copy" and "Blu-Ray Copy" sections. You must also only use the "DVD9" and "BD50" quality settings. Otherwise you will be using compression which is only part of the paid for version.

tutorial I'll show how you can let the
DVD to your hard drive with DVD fab HD

what we're gonna do is I'm gonna click
full desk going to rip the whole disk
i'm going to leave these on the default
leave those on the default and leave
those on the default if you want you can
change the volume label and what I'm
going to do is I'm going to switch this
to dvd9 which represents a dual-layer
discs to make sure that the quality is
set to a hundred percent and to ensure
that the entire disk is copied to my
hard drive and i'm going to click start
and what dvdfab will do is go through
each of the files on the disk and rip
them to your hard drive and the speed of
this is going to depend on your hardware
but usually it would take five to ten
minutes something like that so it's
almost finished now and there we go now
finish written the disc and it's
automatically jumped me to the folder
where it's rick files to and if i go
into the video TS folder I can see all
the DVD files have been ripped from my
DVD and that's the folder and basically
what it does is if you rip a full disk
it creates this folder called full disk
and inside there you should then see the
folder with the volume name from your
desk so if you went off and left
multiple disks in the for disk mode you
would see them all collected in here
each one of them but then Abbott own
audio 80s video TS folders
so I'm going to click OK and that dialog
box and you can click finish and your
then it was position to replace the disc
with another one or as will do here I'll
show you what the main movie option is
so what you can do is click main may be

to select non select them if you wish to
remove a particular and audio track and

I'll go through the same copy process

meet the track i selected which is why

explorer to show me the RIP files are
going to video 2 X as the lip fire was
not quite as many of them this time I go
into my DVD rips folder it's created a
subfolder coordinate movie and that's
where it sticks all the lift fire when
you're using the main maybe mode so if
you don't make you both you'll end up
with these two sub folders here and
that's where you were always going to
find your lips
let's go back in here now click ok and i
can click finish and you don't free to
use the full disk will make me the modes
