Chrome for Android and iOS: Emojify the Web

The Chrome team is excited to announce Google Translate support for Emoji built directly into Chrome for Android and iOS. You can now read all your favorite web content using efficient and emotive illustrations on your phone and tablet.

To view webpages in Emoji on your Android, iPhone, and iPad today, download the latest version of Chrome for Mobile from the Play Store or App Store. Then simply tap on the menu icon and select the "Translate to Emoji" option. This feature is currently only available in English.

need to understand how people are using
language so in building translate for

we looked at lots of users and how they
express different things using emotion

temporal sites which is the same part of
our brain that processes facial
recognition
so basically emoji is a language that
everyone already knows this is the next
phase of linguistic evolution and we
want to provide this to all of our users
our expert team is constantly evolving
the language so it stays fresh and
relevant but we're really looking
towards improving emoji support for very
complex emotions like laughing so hard
you're crying and your cat the chrome
team is really excited about being able
to translate the entire internet into
emoji URLs a modified e-commerce a
modified medical journals a modified
legal documents ammo july subtitles a
modified some of our engineers have even
started to code in emotion
people spend eighty percent of their
processing power recognizing and
reassembling these little symbols we
call
letters here at Google were giving the
eighty percent back to the user
