[NOISE].
In this video, we'll be going over an
introduction to
commitment management of subcontracts and
purchase orders.
We'll begin by navigating to the
commitments tab.
Across the top, we have our commitments
summary which summarizes our financial.
Yes.
Here, we have a list of all of our
subcontracts, and purchase orders.
The contract amounts are listed in this
column.
And, on the right hand side, we see the
approval status of each.
The bottom one is currently saved as a
draft.
Let's change it to approved by double
clicking on
the status, and selecting approved from
the drop down menu.
On the right hand side of the page, we
have our views and filters.
The view of the list screen can be changed
to show a
summary, detailed view or the recycle bin,
where you will find deleted commitments.
The filter may be changed to sort by type,
status, or if it is executed or not.
Next, we will create a subcontract
agreement by clicking the Create
Subcontract button.
We can begin by selecting our
subcontractor
and entering in a title for our
subcontract.

We can select our status, which for now we
will leave as a draft.
We can select our start date and our
signed contact date.
By scrolling down, we can enter in any
other information and you an browse your
computer for a file or add from
the documents tool using the from Procor
button.
One thing to note is that in Procor,
contracts are private by default, meaning
that they will only be visible to users
with admin level access to the tool.
Standard users can be given access to the
contract by being added to the
distribution group.
Now, we can sub tabs that make the
commitments main tab.
For now, we are go to change a few of our
settings.
So, begin by clicking on the advance
setting sub tab and then the edit button.
Here you can set your accounting method to
amount based or unit quantity based.
For the purpose of this demonstration, we
will select amount based.
We will also turn off a few of our sub
tabs to simplify the user interface.
Now, we are going to tie this subcontract
to our budget.
Begin by clicking on the schedule of
values sub-tab and then the edit button.
First, we will select the budget line item
that this cost will be applied to.

Finally, we enter in the subcontract
amount and press Add.
Now that we have added that line item, we
click Save.
Procore also allows you to relate items to
your commitments.
To do this, click the related item sub tab
and then the edit button.
Select what type of item you would like to
relate to the commitment, select the item,
then press add.
This has now created a linkage between
that item and the commitment.
If you navigate to the Documents folder
and select that item, you will see
that it is linked directly to a
subcontract, which can be accessed simply
by clicking.
You can also email out your commitments
by clicking the orange email contract
button on
the right of the screen, and view
Change History by clicking the Change
History tab.
From the General sub-tab of the
subcontract, you can print
the subcontract to PDF by clicking the
orange PDF button.
If you have any questions, you can contact
our support staff, or browse our
forums by clicking on the support button,
