How to access a hard drive from a dead computer.

this is something that's a probably more
bad traits that some text don't want to
give away but it's a simple thing we can
do yourself a lot of people still want
to do it just because it's a bit of a
pain you gotta buy some equipment

died and you need to transfer files from
to another computer that's working
basically you need to pull the hard
drive one of the computer music as an
external hard drive and will be like an
external USB and then you can transfer
files to your computer
i'm going to show you how to do that
so basically you can see here you've got
the hard drive after you pull it over
your computer and look something like
this and any on the train hard drive
if it's an ide hard drive look like this
with pins on what you can get a closer
look here this one has pins you see
where as some of the other ones now this
is a laptop hard drive so it's much
smaller in comparison
it has something other than hint that's
a little harder this

now this is not called a SATA hard
driver as a TA
the other is ide which has ends so
depending on which one it is you want to
get the correct adapter and it's not
your SATA to USB so for the ID one that
we have will have these type of event
plug into the hard drive in a USB on the
other side plug into your computer so
you take this cable here part is just a
power adapter so not the one end to come
to the wall
and the other end that plugs into the
air and now we're ready to plug the
power into the wall and the USB into the
computer and start accessing it know if
it's a SATA hard drive this one once and
don't want to do is use another type of
cable like this and not just plugs in
like that and you'll have a different
car adapter as well in the other nzs be
plugged into the computer comes up is it
just thinking must be drive or external
hard drive would with a new drive letter
going to my computer that drive letter

now this is in windows seven so this is
going to be categorized under devices
with removable storage and also depends

and see the files in it

just go in there and copy and paste
everything over or if you've got some
other special software that you want to
back up or do an imager all kinds of
other more technical ways of doing it
go ahead and do that at least now that
we've got this part you can do anything
you want with it you can work right off
if you want to but if the drives in fact
sheet and highly recommend getting the
paint off their back up something else
so you'll get stuck in this position
