application review today we'll be
reviewing advanced task killer the
application looks like this on your
android device go and visit the play
store and search for advanced task
killer it's one of the most popular
applications on the Play Store today
it's an excellent application to have to
help improve your phone's performance
throughout the day a lot of android
users enter and leave their applications
throughout the day and they don't even
realize that those applications are
still running in the background
consuming memory and in turn hurting
your battery life
well this isn't a great application to
help fix that problem and it's very easy
to use let me show you how to use the
application when you select the app will
show you a list of running programs that
you have on your phone will have a check
mark off to the right and you can
basically just hit the kill selected
apps unless you want to uncheck some of
the applications for example advanced
task killer you want to uncheck that and
for me I'm checked my email because I
kill this application will no longer
receive my emails you can also send
those to the ignore list so that you are
not bothered by these applications
anymore if you long press the
application that you want to ignore you
can then hit the ignore option and then
you won't see those applications show up
on this list anymore and if you have an
Android phone version 2.2 or later
you'll see that there are some
applications that are in green that
means those are applications that are on
your home screen and in android 2.2 or
later you cannot kill those applications
from this program however they do give
you an option too long press that
application and then do a four stop
which takes you directly into your phone
settings and then you can for stop that
application right from here and if you
hit the menu button in the bottom left
corner and then choose settings there's
a few different settings options that
you can use in this for example you can
manage your ignore list right here if we
select it we can see the two
applications that we sent to the ignore
list you can also do an automatic ignore
service on all your front apps which are
the applications that are
in green you can change your long press
action to switch to those applications
so if you want to open up an appt that's
in your advanced task killer list you
can change that feature and here they
have Auto Kill options if you select
that they have safe aggressive and crazy
or just disable the safe option will
kill apps that aren't running but still
consuming memory aggressive will kill
apps that are running in the background
and all of the apps that would have been
killed in just the safe option and then
crazy will kill all apps except for the
ones that you are using and they do also
offer a widget for this application if
you go into your widgets list you'll see
that you have an advanced task killer
widget and then this widget if you just
select it will automatically kill the
running programs and give you a little
notification of your available memory
now if you bring up the advanced task
killer list as you can see all those
programs have left except for my
frontpage apps and this is one of our
featured applications of the month
