No virtual modem under VirtualBox

I have NAT set up as well as COM1 (ttys0) being redirected to TCP and listening on host port 600 (i would use this later for answering telnet on host port 600). As you can see, there is no modem response under VirtualBox. I would expect VirtualBox to support VirtualModem otherwise streaming COM1 to TCP makes no sense at all.
