HOW TO INSTALL MATE-TWEAK + MATE Interface IN UBUNTU LINUX 14 WITH UNITY DESKTOP

This video will give information , of how to get rid of the UNITY dsktop in UBUNTU and change to MATE includig the MATE TWEAK
that will let you use desktop effects and several desktop layouts.

The Power of the MATE Desktop we could already see in my previous videos , and having the power now to change a wrong installed version with the unity desktop to Mate is a new Goal here for me , just because i,m not into Unity neither Gnome 3.


To get this done you need to do a terminal install
The lines to post to change UBUNTU 14.0.4 from Unity to MATE are

Installing MATE in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To install MATE 1.8.1 in Ubuntu open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-mate-dev/ppa

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-mate-dev/trusty-mate

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends ubuntu-mate-core ubuntu-mate-desktop
