ok if you got some lightweight DSLR is
like i do and you saw in the prior
videos where I invented this little
contraption that has a4 advantages over
blackrapid low dissipation a third
connector point can't unscrew and
there's no more of this horrible
rattling noise which I absolutely can't
stand after the shooting
it's on my nerves other people doesn't
bother let's show you something neat for
show you that lets show you this is so
by blackrapid it's your safety retention
a strap so in case your era your tripod
lug breaks off and i have seen a couple
of break and it has nothing to do with
poor quality let me and screw this and
show it to you here underneath the
rubber where breaks off and I've seen a
few on the internet and I've seen two
firsthand the break is right here it's
just the stress fracture so I mean
you're looking at the hair over 2
millimeters on that and after a lot of
use any breaks so you have to anticipate
stuff like that so anyway we screw this
back on
blackrapid cells is fourteen or fifteen
dollars this little strapped now I've
shown you before how to make one for
fifty cents this is their $15 strap that
comes with their expensive blackrapid
and to me that's no bueno
that's which implies that with the
boyfriend Russian it only serves one
purpose that's retention in case this
ever comes out or this unscrews or
breaks off it's going to be a safety
catch
well that's great but it's $15 only
served one purpose let's show you
something really awesome for fifty cents
that serves a dual purpose
let me show it to you here I've got it
lined up properly in the camera let me
show you the route of it
ok now i have this taught but there is
never any tension placed on this is
never going to be anywhere marks down
here because there's no lo to taken on
this okay so you see how I have it
connected here let me undo my carabiner
so i can actually show it to you
this has a dual purpose of not only
acting as a safety catch in case of your
row your tripod lug unscrewing which is
a very very common issue people using
blackrapid slings where the actual
connector will unscrew itself and then
boom it will drop to the floor and have
you have the safety strap nikon is a
black rapper says 14 14 15 bucks
ok will actually protect against that
but so does this one but it still serves
a dual purpose you can see how i have it
connected here here and here so if it
ever unscrews but you can't because I've
got it locked into place that's the
second advantage I have it secured here
so you got two purposes served here i
have in cases breaks I'm still able to
save my camera because it's going to
retain it right here but this takes the
load at all i have a not here and here
and then I bring my carabiner right
through this loop and through obviously
the link on the blackrapid so you can
see I've been here I've got three knots
here you don't actually need this not
but i actually use this one to hold in
the split ringess the Swiss Army swiss
army knife split ring by five or six of
these for like four or five dollars and
Heba as i told you for this accessory
cord dyneema has a 400-pound breaking
strength
okay yeah you're going to use this for
many years before you wear it out
especially this one because it takes no
lo there's no load here there's not
gonna be any rubbing here and there's no
load at all so and can protect your
camera from dropping and it's going to
keep this from ever unscrewing now as
you can see here this is not perfectly
in parallel with the camera as it's
going to be the case with your
blackrapid let me show you the nikon d3
here now this one is perfectly in
parallel but it doesn't make any
difference if any of you screw it nice
and tight your blackrapid the tripod
link is going to set it gets it like
this that means it like anything
ok so this is as tight as mine will go
you know there's no need
you know you just have it super finger
tight as long as tight as needed to go
but doesn't matter how you have
as long as you since these two knots
like this and i have this thought okay
not with tension just taught so i can
remove this easily
ok then it can never unscrew so you can
go all day long without having to look
down on your blackrapid link and worry
about it I'm screwing and this
unscrewing is always been a serious
issue on blackrapid this now cannot
unscrew so it serves a dual purpose of
holding a second security point for your
camera right here
ok so this breaks and which I've seen
them break
it's actually very rare occurrence ok so
this breaks or around
well actually that's only because it
can't actually twist out before the
worry of them twisting out which is why
blackrapid actually made the strap for
this lug twisting out that would
actually grab your cameras and now it
cannot twist out and it's actually
holding a camera in case this threaded
lug breaks right its base was typically
right where it breaks it breaks right in
there
ok so this breaks out so that your
camera so its cost 50 well actually yeah
I guess about fifty cents the mac and we
need about two to three lists the finger
down your local hiking or backpacking
store all that all the hippy hippy
goofballs hangout and chomp on granola
bars and talk about to climb the highest
mountain you know that you know the
specs store then I'm talking about where
those where those of flatus sniffers
hangout and that they typically are all
a bunch of lattice defects
hey and buy some of his rope you I
wondering the stores like whos this fat
guy coming in here buying this
mountaineering gear
although this is actually called
accessory course typically uses guy
wires for tent poles or for securing
your tent and at least a 400-pound
breaking strength and this is going to
last for many years since this actually
takes a note work at all
takes a no attention at all so great why
are people doing this I've heard
everybody that's got a heavy DSLR or
using a black rapid
all got one complaint if they're out
shooting all day this will unscrew
itself and that was a real pain in the
crotch and if you don't have a security
strap like this one or like the one
black wrap itself over $15 that's no
bueno
ok me and no no dice fifty cents on this
one and serves the exact same purpose
but it serves a dual purpose so this is
the upgrade you need to be making for
your blackrapid and 450 sense why the
hell aren't you doing it it can unscrew
and I have to look down my camera all
day long cons like every two hours every
hour to look down have to retype might
not really tight-knit retighten it you
don't have to do that anymore it can't
even move more than a quarter of a turn
it can barely move a quarter return to
unscrew itself at the very most they
can't move anymore than that so I think
I've made my point abundantly clear now
I have ultimately 4 knots in here one
here one here one here one here and then
the final one over here I actually melt
over the spillover use matches and then
actually take the pliers and clamp it
shut so the final end here can never
come undone
okay you can't come out I can't slip out
so you just melt this over the stove
with a match and you take some pliers
and squish it together so you create one
little black looking blob like that so
it can never unravel itself
ok very very easy very very cheap super
effective and yeah I know I talk too
much but today I'm giving you great tips
right 50 cent up and beat it right
doesn't weigh anything doesn't get in
the way it's over here I'm grab my
camera over here gonna wait over here
