Percy and duck like working at the
harbour by the sea
on a clear summers night there's no
better place to be
yeah
the big ships bring passengers cargo
ships carrying machinery and other
things
duck and Percy puffed backwards and
forwards with the crates of cargo as
they are loaded and unloaded by the key
side
one morning doc and person noticed that
the horizon was packed with sails
flapping against the blue sky
i wish i could sail to faraway lands
sighed duck engines can't go sailing
snorted Percy because engines can't
float duck still had his dreams
suddenly they were rudely interrupted
wakey wakey covered Harold I'm lookin at
the boats replied duck
that's the regatta lots of boats lots of
races great fun
I hover around in case I needed you go
to the horizon ask doc
yes and beyond I didn't know there was a
beyond whispered Percy do you go to
other places at see continued duck

he went on talking about the regatta all
day person Walter patients
well doc I'd rather have my wheels on
solid ground
our rails can take us to all the places
we could ever wish to see that's an

hospital at the next station

engines are happiest when their wheels

the air was warm and the sea calm

look he's hovering overhead
something fluttered down towards stock
his driver caught it
it's a flag from the regatta Harold's
giving it to you as a present doc
that was kind of Harold whisper duck he
may have Worley arms instead of wheels
but he seems to understand just what an
engine needs duck still wonders about
the lands beyond the horizon but i think
he knows that sometimes the best travels
are those we can only dream about

Thomas the Tank Engine puffed happily
along his branch line with Annie and
Clarabel
Sir Topham Hatt was waiting on the
platform he looked at his watch
well done Thomas you are right on time
and really reliable
thank you sir whistle Thomas oh right on
time and really reliable from the
coaches but the big engines were not
feeling cheerful at all
where's Percy mobile can we he supposed
to fetch our coaches we get no rest
complain James
the edge angrily onto the turntable and
spoke rudely to Henry what's the matter
Henry there's no rain today
stop worrying and do some work instead
I'm not afraid of getting wet anymore

anyway you look silly enough to be a
clown you should join the circus
Oh whistle Percy so you've heard the
news what news about the circus
Percy what are you talking about
the circus has arrived explain Percy

the engine soon forgot to be tired and
cross until it was time for the circus
to leave then Gordon and Henry were
cross all over again when James got to
pull the train way
a little later Sir Topham Hatt return
come along Henry of tunnel is blocked

they stopped outside the tunnel
the workmen went inside
it was very dark and quiet but not for

how shouted the workmen and they ran out

we started to dig at the block but it
grunted and moved one said rubbish said

it's not rubbish it's big and alive
we're not going in there again
right said the foreman I'll ride in the
cause and Henry she'll push it out said
Henry unhappily he had been shut in the
tunnel for being afraid of the rain but
this was worse
something big and alive was inside p
I don't want to go in neither do i said

then there was trouble the block was
indeed alive and very strong
it began to push the train backwards out
of the tunnel King Henry then the cars
last of all and large cross elephant
well I never cried the foreman the
workmen gave him some cake
he drank three buckets of water and was
just about to drink another when Henry
let off steam

poor Henry the elephant and this keeper

but Henry was most upset an elephant

that night he told the other engines all
about it
Gordon and James felt sorry for Henry
but still teased him
first the rain then an elephant whatever

never mind Henry remember Thomas I think
you were brave today really reliable
one morning Edward was waiting to pick
up passengers from Thomas's train people
we're late where is Thomas he doesn't
usually make his weight all you what

Johnny's all longer never you mind about
Johnny last the driver just to climb on
the calves and look for Thomas can you
see him

in a tearing hurry

passengers catch the train

driver her a call the passengers as 30
chased after Edward once more

everything seemed to happen at once the

passengers keep goodbye Bertie we're off
whistled Edward three cheers for Bertie
all the passengers
there he raced back to tell Thomas that
all was well
