How to Screen Capture your Android Phone?

http://goo.gl/nWDs Ever wondered how to capture the screen of your Android Phone? Well, this video will show you how. Follow these simple steps to take screen shots off your Android Phone. I take screen shots all the time when I'm reviewing a feature or an application from the Android market place. I take screen shots to create "How to" articles for Android Phones. Instead of taking pictures of the screen with a camera, taking screen shots and using them in your blog posts gives your content a huge boom. The screen shots look way better than the camera shots. In this video I'm using Motorola Droid as my Android Phone. Use the comments section if you have any questions or alternate ways to do this.

the first step is to go to the android
developer website at
developer.android.com and click on sdk
and give you several options to choose
from windows mac OS or linux operating
system in our case it's windows so let's
download the Windows 65 accept the terms
and conditions and click download and
our case we're going to download it to
the desktop once the zip file is saved
go back to the desktop extract all the
files
all the files are extracted so let's
open the folder and execute the file
which says sdk setup . exe it's going to
ask for the platform to select in our
case we're going to accept all but you
can choose whatever you want to click
install accepted and it's going to
install the sdk once install go back to
the same folder now you'll see some
additional folders like add-ons tools
and USB driver which we are going to use
to install the USB driver for the droid
phone in our case it's a motorola droid
so let's connect the model droid phone
to RPC as you can see first you connect
the USB to the phone the microUSB and
the other end of the cable is connected
to the regular USB on your computer as
soon as you connect the USB to your
computer it's going to pop up the
default Windows driver installation
please note to cancel this installation
because we're going to install it
manually so simply click on skip and say
yes on the warning and close the driver
software installation former phone
screen once done go to the device
manager and you'll see a question mark
with model motorola device right click
click on update driver select manually
that is browse through the folders
browse to the USB Drive folder on the
extracted sdk and make sure you check
the box that says includes of folders
and click Next
it's going to install the driver
software and accept and the warning
security message from windows and say
yes and it's going to install the driver
software there is a confirmation let's
close this window and you should see the
driver installed successfully without
any question marks or exclamation marks
that's our phone so let's close device
manager go back to the same folder and
look for under tools folder i look for
DDMS the file called EMS it's a windows
batch file double-click and open it and
click on it's going to take some time to
open the simulator
and there you go just in this screen go
to the device menu and click on screen
capture once you click on that you
should see your mobile screen on on your
computer screen there you go that's
that's my phone on the screen now it's
not a video recording at a screen
recording so it takes the latest screen
and put it on your computer screen in
this case we need to hit refresh button
to every time refers the screen so i'm
going to put the phone simulation on the
Left which i recorded that's the phone i
opened the maps clicker fresh you're
going to see the map on your computer
screen
I go back to home quicker fresh going to
show you home
go back to the browser hit refresh on
your screen capture on computer it's
going to show you the browser and go
back to maps again refresh I see the map
now you can change the orientation by
hitting the rotate button and you can
also save the existing screenshot by
hitting the Save button in our case it's
map so i just say maps it saves it in
PNG save it to the desktop and let's see
how it looks like go back to the desktop
there's the maps
there you go so it's not as simple
download the SDK follow the steps and
you can screen capture your android
