[Patched] GTA V: Use Any Image For Your Crew Emblem (Tutorial)

I made my last video in response to people in this discussion asking for a video example of how to do what they were talking about.

Go check out that thread and check out the OP's website. It all started with him.

This method requires you to have your emblem or logo properly sized at 512 x 512 px. If you want to have it on a transparent background do that first and save as a PNG.

Upload that file to vectormagic.com and convert using their online convertor, when you get the settings the way that you want them save it to your computer, open it with notapad++ and paste it to the location shown in the video.

If you want to have transparency instead of a white background before your logo or emblem remove the code that starts with "path fill="#ffffff" d=", it should be the top path listed in the text editor.
Follow the rest of the video directions and save the file.

If it's not working for you or colors aren't showing up, your emblem may use too many colors, or colors that aren't compatible with R* social club. Try tweaking those.

what's up everybody on blue echo and i'm
doing a new and improved tutorial on how
to use any emblem that you want and the
rockstar games social club emblem editor
some people were having a lot of
problems resizing with inkscape that I
talked about in the last method so we're
going to do a completely it's not
completely you
we're going to do a different method
it's a lot more simple it's a lot easier
it's cleaner i can have to worry about
all that before we get into the
different steps i just want to mention
that there is a link in my previous
video and in this video to the original
reddit thread where some of these
different methods were discussed and in
that thread there were people talking
about wanting a video tutorial on how to
do this i believe that i mentioned in my
last video that the information in the
tutorial came from that reddit thread i
had neglected to link it and I apologize
for that
so that link for the other red thread is
in the old video and I'll make sure that
it's in the new one because the original
poster who posted about right clicking
and inspecting the element had a
different method for how to actually
take your layers who put them in here
but they figured out that you can do
that and that's how we've ended up so
they deserve the credit for that make
sure that you click on that link go and
leave a comment saying good job figuring

whatever upload it to do what you gotta
do but they deserve the credit for that
so we're getting into the different
steps you need an image in this case I
have this image here I've already
recited to 512 by 512 it's a PNG on a
transparent background i'm gonna take
that image that's already prepared it's
already 512 by 512 it's already
transparent on a transparent background
those steps need to be done ahead
time use photoshop if you have it or use
GIMP but take that image you are going
to go back over here and we are going to
go to the vector magic com website and
look at their two options one of them as
online and you click on that it asks you
to upload your image you're going to
upload your image it shows up here it'll
go through the vector tracing and you're
at this screen now you can adjust these
settings you can make it less detailed
or more detailed you can change the
amount of colors that are in there and
you can do some very simple things
this took are transparent image and put
it on a white background that's okay i'm
going to show you how to get rid of that
in the next step or after we paste it
so once you get the emblem looking the
way that you wanted to look regardless
of whether it has a white background
they're not going to download that
result to your computer
I've already downloaded my results to my
computer and it's sitting here i'm going
to right click on that i'm going to open
it with an advanced text editor like
notepad plus plus if you're on the pc or
text Wrangler free on the mac and you're
going to see this code here the SVG code
starts right here it's got very basic
information and we're going to skip
right over that we're going to go to
this next line says path Phil and we're
going to copy and we're going to paste
all the way down to the bottom and i'm
gonna copy that we're going to go back
to the rock star emblem creator i'm
going to click create new and it's going
to say you want to leave this page i do
i am going to change the background
color to transparent i'm going to right
click on inspect element i'm going to
find SVG height i'm going to right click
there
edit as HTML same spot that we put it in
last time I'm gonna put the code in
right here where it's the ending of the
rectangle and the ending of the SVG code
right in between their paste your code
in there click outside of it now you can
close this you can see we have the image
that we had exported on that white
background if you inspect this element
again there's a path here that's
highlighted because i right clicked
right on that white and showing path
Phil equals FFF FFF
that's our white layer you can see it
goes from 0 to 0 2 512
512 it's a square white box i'm going to
right click on that delete that node i'm
going to close this out and now we have
our image saved on a transparent
background and just to prove that i'm
not trolling you guys I'm going to save
it
and you can see there was one picture
over here now there's two so it's saved
it showing up
I've done this a bunch of different
times with different logos try a couple
different things and you can see this
works and it's a lot easier than trying
to edit with inkscape so if you like
