hi this is stephanie from her prize and
welcome to austin texas today we are
going to be reviewing it to desk risers
also known as they sit to stand solution
for use on an existing disk now it's
really important for us to convey the
information to you folks because if you
do not have a chance to come and
physically see it and try it out
it is my job to point out all the
elements of both systems now we're going
to start first with the Baroness 360 pro
this is a very very popular solution and
i'm here to explain things about it that
I may not be as obvious when you're
looking at their components on their
website now this is known as like i said
hey I desk riser sit-to-stand or even
desk desk the issue with the bear desk
is that it literally sits on top of the
desk so i guess and advantages that it
comes fully assembled but a disadvantage
was I had to get an extra person to come
and actually help take it out of the box
very very big and very very heavy
the one thing that I really want to
bring to your attention is the fact that
with the very desk as well as other desk
risers they sit on top of the dense now
you are probably thinking well what's
the problem with that step
the problem with that is that when
you're in the seated position
it'sit's too high now most deaths
whether its contract furniture or
grandpa's old desk can be anywhere from
29 to 31 inches tall
now the desk that I have here is 29
inches on 53 now I've got some heels on
today but but generally i'm on a shorter
person and the problem with most deaths
and especially with my desk riser like
the Baroness 360 is that not only is it
big and and
takes up more room on my desk it doesn't
go low enough for me in my seated
position so if you look right now i'm
sitting and I have to put my hands on my
keyboard and right now i am feeling
stress in my my shoulders and my arms my
wrists of my hands now you may be
thinking of your nature
well do this little trick at home and
this is why I'm a huge advocate of a
keyboard tray system because if I can
keep my hands down here I'm nice and
relaxed i'm in this beautiful l-shape
position and I'm maintaining wonderful
contact with my back of my chair but
when I have to put my hands in this
position I'm already feeling stress and
strain so now take this position moving
away from your keyboard stand up
well this is what we're doing hours at a
time
several days a week several months of
year it's called repetitive stress and
over time this could cause a lot of pain
and discomfort so back again right now
this doesn't feel well i have to insert
quite a bit of force to move the bear
just pretty strong girl
one of the things that that I've noticed
just with the few times that we even
adjust the very desk is that my court
has become compromised so if you do have
a wired keyboard be aware that the court
could be compromised or even pulled out
with varied s pro it does not offer a mi
proper monitor mount or monitor arm now
and a lot of their literature they show
with a beautiful very very large
elaborate LCD well not everybody
has very very large elaborate lcds so
this can hold two lcds but the problem
is is that um and I'm barely putting any
pressure as you can see it's shaking
without a proper amount you're not also
going to get the proper height alignment
so on for for someone who's shorter like
me i'm ok with this type for folks that
are taller than me now they're going to
have to add maybe a phone book or arima
paper which is going to cause even even
further instability as i mentioned that
the bear desk takes up tremendous amount
of space on the desk
I do have a little room to write but
once again you see this thing moving
google seasick that I have barely
putting any pressure
overall I guess I like the fact that it
is all assembled but oh goodness heavy i
don't like the fact that it is
cumbersome it is shaky it doesn't offer
a monitor mount and one of the things
that I truly found very disturbing is
that the manufacturer says for those who
are 53 to put a wrist support or palm
support on there
well that's even add more light to my co
double height so when i call very just
to find out why they want to say that
there wasn't a phone number for anybody
to call me back now let's review the
city to stand converter pro the city
consistent converter pro has a proper
monitor mount or monitor our it comes
with a that is 16 inches tall but we
also have for those who were eating much
much taller 6263 a 30-inch column the
Census and converter pro can be mounted
for a single OCD dual lcds or even a
calm
nation of an LCD with a laptop or an LCD
with a talent and you can clamp it to
the desk or also use a through-hole so
it's super easy to put together and I'm
as my kids mom I'm not the most
technical person and i have no problem
putting it together
it offers wonderful extension 26 inches
of reach and then you can stow it away
and only have an inches away from the
wall you're going to see right now let
me just lower this quiet fast dirty on
your lower illness and also one of the
things that I didn't mention before with
a very desk is that you cannot change
your LCD the position of your LCD right
now I can keep it in landscape I can
keep it in portrait I can also tilted in
various positions which is really
important to you if you wear bifocals
and trifocals so now let's now let's of
measure it in the seated position
a simple lever is going to raise and
lower it it has 19 inches of height
adjustment so we have a 12.5 inches
above the desk and and 6.5 inches below
the keyboard platformer the keyboard
tray itself is really sturdy and I have
28 inches of of of with so i have plenty
of room to for my mouth my keyboard I
can even move this aside and i also have
sufficient room for writing with pen and
paper now it's not going to still below
but with this much space i'm not i'm not
losing valuable work space that we had
the issues with with the very desk but
now let's position this for me
the 53 go and i have my hands on my
keyboard mouse real close to me my back
against the chair and I mean this really
nice comfortable and relaxed position i
can easily type and very very very
quietly and quite sturdily and now if i
want to stand watch how fast I can do
that
so folks I think it's really important
that if you are considering a desk riser
ask the questions will my keyboard and
mouse go below the desk will I have
wonderful height adjustment will I have
wonderful of adjustment for my monitor
these are the things that you're not
going to get with the very desk but you
will get with the 610 converter pro
