in this tutorial we're going to create
an action that will match watermark our
blog images
we're also going to let it resize and
sharpen our images as well so the first
thing to do is prepare your logo you'll
need to save it as a PNG file with a
transparent background at the size
you'll want it to be on your images so
once we have that ready we're going to
create a new action
and start recording first we're going to
go ahead and size our image down to the
appropriate size we need
and then we're going to apply a light
sharpen unsharp mask
now we're going to place our logo you'll
want to be sure you save it somewhere
that you won't need to you know you
won't mess with it later so you know on
your hard drive directly or in some
folder where you won't edit later
go to file and place find the image
hit place
notice the transparency here if it was
not a transparent image we would have a
white box behind this logo and it
wouldn't look very attractive on our
final image so I'm going to place mon in
the bottom left-hand corner and hit
enter and that finalizes it in the image
the next thing we're going to do is
flatten the image
sorry it's a little bit out of the
screen here layer flatten image and then
immediately after we will save and be
finished with this section stop and so
to batch process your images then you'll
need to sort them into horizontal and
vertical folders and you'll want to
create another action exactly like this
except that you will use a vertical
image and place the logo for the
vertical image this is the problem most
people have with batch processing logos
is that the logo ends up in odd places
so the trick is to sort them by
horizontal and vertical or portrait
landscape and then batch process and
brought process them separately so let
me show you real quick how to process
going to automate match
and then you're going to choose your
folder
horizontal images
destination saving clothes and override
save as commands and that you have to
have your safe in the action for that
work correctly it okay and it's going to
run through all of my images

these and you'll notice all of them have
the watermark and they will be sized for
my blog that's it
