fill out the back to california title
so this is the back of the california
title on this upper portion is where the
new registered owner puts in their
information they put their last first
and middle on such a 3a 3b is where
there's a second person who's going to
be registered on the car is where they
put their information if you check or it
means that either party's if there's two
people who are registered on the car
either one can sign off on the car and
sell it they both don't have to sign off
either one can sell it but on three be
if you check out and it means you have
to have both people's signatures signed
off in order to sell the car so that's
very important
ok and section for their address or peel
box number 5 city six if you want to
have a p.o box number you have to give
your address and then you give the p.o
box number so this is where you would
put your address on section floor is
where you put your peel box number now
we go down to section 9a and 9b this is
where 9a if it's only one person who the
cars being registered and it's where
they sign they put their California
driver's license right there to purchase
day and the purchase price or if it was
a gift
they put that information right here
there's a second person registered on
the car they sign here put their drivers
license number here and they put the
date
so here is the new lienholder section
this is where if you're a bank or your
car dealer or your title loan company if
someone is making payments to you
you put your information right here this
is the lien holder
this means that they're the legal owner
on the car until you pay them off the
registered owner
once the registered owner pays off the
car the lienholder signs on the front of
this title and releases interest in the
vehicle so there's any money owed on a
car financing the legal owner which is
the bank or whoever that you're going to
be making payments to fills out this
portion right here
the bottom portion down here lines 1415
this is the history of any wholesale
activity that goes on on the vehicle
so say the car was sold out
auction from one car dealer to another
all that information is reported here
and if that car dealer sold the car to
another car dealer they would put their
information here so all the wholesale
history is here on the bottom portion of
the title
