How to Print Screen (Screenshot) on a Windows Laptop

Here is a quick and easy video to show you how to perform a print screen / screenshot on a Windows laptop.

It's really easy to get started and create your first screenshot. All you have to do is get something on the screen you want to take a screenshot/screen dump of and press the following key (can change per machine)...

PRTSC
PRTSCN

Once this key has been pressed it will take a snapshot of the current screen and put it in the copy and paste buffer. You can then 'paste' this screen shot in lots of different applications such as graphic and photo software and writing packages.

To 'paste' the image in the application (MS Word, Paint etc) you then visit the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste'. This will then put the screenshot in the document.

really easy to do is squeeze your all
you got to do on this laptop is press
the PRT SC key which is located around
out here on this laptop and what we do
we press that key and then that take
screenshot of the entire and view and
put it into the copy and paste buffer
which means that when we do come to
paste it
we should get a screenshot of what we've
just done as you can see here will open
up Microsoft Word and we right click on
the page click paste and they have a
screen shop
easy as that now we'll just delete this
i will show you another example
now in order to take a screenshot of a
certain area
there's something else we need to do
once you've got the thing of you want to
squeeze your off make sure that the
window is selected that you want to take
the screenshot and then press and hold
down alt the okay to left on side of the
space bar
as you can see here and then press the
PRT esc key again and that takes a
screenshot of the certain window in view
and you'll see that when we go to paste
in word again you will see that she's
taking a screenshot of the window that I
wanted to do
as you can see it's really easy to do
