hi explorers in this video we're going
to talk about map layers available in
hema explorer for this video we're using
an iPad
however the user interface and the
functionality of the app is similar and
Android and mobile versions of the app
here explore it gives you access to
multiple maps sources for adventure
travel
you can view and change map sources by
tapping the map layer icon
initially this list will include the
Hema explorer map and here straight and
satellite mapping the hammer explorer
map is Australia's best multiscale
topographic mapping for guiding all
sorts of adventure travel while the heat
map layers of four different map types
as an alternative to the default
explorer map to change map layers
simply tap on the map you wish to view
from your available map layers
it will then move to the top of your
active map layers and be displayed on
screen
keep in mind that any ladies you have
that are in your active layers list will
be drawn as you pan around the map
even if they are in the background and
are not visible on the map screen
this means that the less maps you have
in your active layers
the faster the app will respond as you
move around the map screen to delete a
map from your active layers
simply tap it you can also press and
hold the three line icon next to a liar
to move the map around your active and
available layer lists
when you tap manage map layers you're
presented with a variety of map
categories the humor explorer map and
here map layers are in your available
map layers by default
however you can also add remove and
purchase map layers from this menu if we
go into the humor explorer map folder
you can see there's only one source and
it's already in our active layers you
can view more information on the map by
tapping the I button or removing it from
your available layers by tapping the
minus button below the humor explorer
map is a category called zmapp players
these are digitized him a print maps
which were available as in-app purchases
in previous versions of humor explorer
now the hammer explorer map is available
within the app these regional maps are
available as free downloads for all app
users with these maps
tapping the plus icon will download the
map to your device and it will then
appear in your available layers below
the Hema map layers is a category called
additional map buyers these maps which
currently includes state government top
o maps
geoscience australia and a grey version
of the humor explore amount are
available with a monthly or yearly
explore a pro subscription explorer pro
also gives users access to more detail
blaze of the humor explorer map the
standard version of the app zooms to a
max scale of one to one hundred fifty
thousand while explorer Pro users
consume to an incredibly detailed
topographic scale of one to nine
thousand australia-wide you can purchase
an explorer pro subscription in app by
selecting one of these maps sources and
following the prompts or alternatively
going to your app settings and selecting
explorer pro
underneath additional map layers other

available in your map list users who
owned the a prior to the version 3.1
update may have another category below

explorer map or clip and save an area of
another map download if we tap explorer
map by region you can see a map of
Australia from here you can select the
region's to download see which regions
you have already downloaded delete
regions and see the file size of each
region by tapping select an area you can
choose an alternative mapsource to
download a section of currently
satellite imagery is not available to
download for offline
however we hope to make this source
available in the future if you are an
explorer pro user you can use this
feature to download additional maps
sources like state topo maps or prime
layers of the humor explorer map
selecting a map section to download is
simple
customize this section you want to
download by dragging the corners of the
red box or move the box around itself
choose a layer or layers you want to
download and then choose the zoo to
which you want to download the file size
of the map you want to download will
appear on screen
so keep an eye on this if you're
downloading a large area of highly
detailed mapping when you're happy with
your map section tap to save and give
you a map a name
once the map is downloaded you can use
it offline
you can view your downloaded map section
either through the layers menu by
tapping my downloaded maps or through
your data menu by going to my daughter
and then selecting maps
