Auto-Forwarding SMS on your iPhone via Email

This tutorial will show you how to auto-forward your SMS messages from your iPhone to another device via email so you can retrieve them.

I have a personal phone which my friends and families call me at. I also have a phone provided by my work. I don't like carrying 2 phones with me so I call-foward my personal # to my work phone. The only catch is, I can't forward SMS text messages. It'd be great if Apple had this builtin to iOS. However, I can forward the SMS messages to email and then I can read the SMS text on another iPhone, Blackberry, iPad, or even computer. Basically any device that can retreive emails.

Here's what you'll need:

iPhone (jailbroken)
NotifyPro (from Cydia)
Notifo.com account (free!)
Email account
Another device (blackberry, Android, tablet, PC, etc) where you plan to read your email (in my case an iPhone, doesn't need to be jailbroken)

this to work you're going to need to
have a jailbroken iphone on the phone
that you want for this SMS messages too
because you need a application from
cydia called notify probe you also need
a noticeable . com account which is free
obviously an email account and another
device to read your email like another
iPhone Blackberry or iPad or computer
the first thing you're going to need to
do is make sure your iphone is
jailbroken and then you're going to need
to install notify pro so this is
notified pro its side to build 1c and it
costs about a dollar fifty they want you
have notified pro installed go to
settings and make sure that the option
for force wait for Wi-Fi is turned on so
basically what this option does is it
waits for your iphone to connect to your
Wi-Fi before sending email to save on
data costs the next thing you're going
to need to do is open a notable com
account its free the most important
information going to need are the api
user name
api secret so make sure you have those
written down somewhere next go to the
Advanced Options and make sure you have
enable email notification for my account
checked off and save it so this is the
option that will let notable send you
the email when you get an SMS after that
you're gonna go to your subscriptions
and modify your email settings and also
make sure that sent email notifications
is checked off the next thing you need
to do is go back to normal pro on your
iPhone and click on notified . com
settings and you're going to add a host
this is where you put in a very notable
com information like your username and
your epi secret and make sure that SMS
notify is on you can also turn on other
notifications like call notify so if
someone calls you on this phone will
send you an email telling you who called
you
so that's all you need to configure so
I'm a show you a demo by sending the
test SMS message to my personal phone
and then it should send a copy of it to
my email on my work phone i'm going to
click send
so I got a text message on my personal
phone and it should come any second now
on my work phone

there is so as you can see is pretty
pretty useful i just keep this phone at
home plugged up to the wall and have it
call forwarded to my work phone and with
notable pro I can receive all the text
messages as well on my iPhone and I
could just respond to my friends or
