Easy console streaming setup with no swapping of cords!

In this video I show how I have managed to set up my Xbox One, PS4, Raspberry Pi 2 (Retro Pie) and my PC for streaming in a very efficient way. The way mine is set up you do not have to disconnect any cords. Changing the console you want to play with is as easy as changing an input on a remote.

what's up everybody in my name's Adam
are those of you that watch me when I
like stream video games and stuff my
gamertag in my playstation idea
everything it's all dolly 3135 had a
number of people ask me how I have set
up my my streaming
arrange my streaming setup to make it so
easy to switch between Lake but my TV
back there I would like my my now
PlayStation 4 which actually just got
yesterday my xbox wanna have a Raspberry
Pi that I can do retro gaming with as
well and then also PlayStation gaming
and then switching between all of them
and how they make it so easy
basically the three things you see on
your screen right now are the items that
I use I'm sure there's other ways to do
it and I'm not even saying I have the
best way I just found that using these
three I had I get the same quality it
does there's no loss as far as quality
goes running it through all these things
and there's no delay in your video or
sound so that's why I go with the things
that I have the things that you're
looking at this is an HDMI splitter
which basically it's an HDMI n and then
it splits the signal twice going out and
you have to have a plugin for a wall
outlet plug into the power that I got
that on Amazon I think I got it on sale
for maybe 10 bucks so it's really not
that expensive the most expensive thing
in here is going to be the gato game
capture device and its tht sixty model
there's other models out there you don't
have to get in Eldorado there's like a
Roxio Game Capture and then there's the
hodgepodge haha Parker Perry said
basically you just need to capture card
and you could as far as I know you could
probably even have internal one in your
computer I just use that because again I
got that on sale I think it's only a
hundred and seventy bucks I got it on
Black Friday last year for I wanna say
125 ish
and then the last thing that I use is
this Radio Shack HDMI matrix and again
legality things you don't have to use
this one this is just the one that I
chose and the reason why i like it so
much is because it comes with the remote
which you can also see in the picture
and that means I don't have to go and I
don't have to push any buttons on the
switcher itself I can do it all on the
fly and all demonstrate that here in a
minute so those are the three things
that I use and then the other thing
obviously you would need the HDMI cables
to run between a mall in any outlets
based off your if you're short on space
he made need one of those people can
have six or seven or more plugins to 10
wallet but that's pretty much the gist
of it so I'll give you a quick
demonstration of it all right now I have
my playstation on
ok sorry I have my PC on right now you
can see I just turned on a venture
capitalist for the sake of showing it
now if I wanted to go and say mid midway
through my stream or whatever I'm doing
ok I'm gonna switch to my Playstation 4
and now that's what I have on playing
that I go okay now I'm not switch over
to my xbox one and I do have to get up
just because normally i play my xbox her
mi consoles from my coach I can switch
the input on there despite the push of a
button and it takes 45 seconds a switch
but it still faster than
disconnecting chords and changing things
around like now it's switched over to my
my xbox one can do it all right on the
fly
that microphone get out I could do it
all on the fly and it it's really easy
to disconnect anything like I said and
let now if I wanted to switch to my my
Raspberry Pi I would just hit the the
other input to it and then again it'll
take a couple seconds of a switch over
to show up for you guys and I'm not
gonna actually do anything with it but
it's on it's working so that's that the
way that I do this and I'll just buy put
together a really I mean this is a
really quick and dirty schematic of how
to do it this is ultimately everything
that I have in line it's a lot of stuff
but it looks more difficult than it
really is for the sake of doing this
quick artists explain any of these
little black lines if it's inside the
box that means it's an HDMI end if it's
outside the box and means an HDMI out so
that's that just makes it really easy to
understand
all right let's go you can see have a
PlayStation for an Xbox wanna be applied
to those be the three inputs on my
controller remote that I have for the
HDMI matrix so the HDMI ends for all
these hours will go to the HDMI ends for
the HDMI matrix from all three of those
all three are gonna go into that HDMI
matrix and then going out what that
allows me to do is take both of the
signals and I can take second one going
to the Elgato and the other one going to
my TV I can change them however I want
so I can have my my xbox going to my TV
I could have something up on my
playstation 4 going to my god oh so I
could be like playing my xbox one not
recording something and going to my
Playstation 4 and recording a cut scene
or something if I wanted to do that just
allows like versatility for what I want
to do love me to do multiple things at
one time this is probably the smartest
probably unnecessary but I'm kinda
planning for the future so my HDMI out
number one goes to that HDMI splitter
this one right here at the moment is
actually open online and that's because
I want to be able to eventually get a
second monitor from my PC and then have
the HDMI cable going to that and then
being able to play my console games at
my PC so I could do it that way that's
the only reason this is set up that way
I'm just kind of planning for the future
if you wanted to you could eliminate
this entirely but like I said planning
for the future so i didnt from the HDMI
splitter this would obviously go to my
TV and then this one would go to the end
on the Elgato HP 60 and that allows me
to capture all the the the consoles from
over there by me TV on my PC and then
this actually doesn't need to go out
anywhere
obviously there's an HDMI cord going
from my pc to my PC monitor and then the
other structures in a different color
the Elgato hid sixty you have to connect
to your PC with just a USB port and
that's how the software all works with
the Elgato soul that is basically the
setup that I have my guess is a small
other negative information will just
quick run in here that would be my my
chrome cast and I do have my chrome cast
set up to go to my
sorry i screwed that up my comcast is
set up to go to my my job to the import
of experts one sorry and that allows me
to you can find streaming sites which
are kinda shady
streaming movies and sporting events and
stuff cuz I one of the people that I cut
the cord from cables I don't really do
anything kinda stuff but I mean
everything you can to the chrome cast
you can run to your ex Botswana that's
why I set it up that way so yeah there's
a little bit going on again you gotta
buy some stuff and then it looks like we
can count it out now you need 123456
he'd have that one anyway so you would
need six HDMI cables to do this
the longest one that I have is a twenty
five foot one and it's kinda hard to see
but the from ITV over there there's that
wall and then it runs all the way along
it would be again it's kinda hard for
you guys to see it to my camera I'm
sorry just resize this so from ITV over
there
it runs down along the floor it there
goes all the way along the wall and then
comes behind my computer over here and
I'm just the only reason I set it up
because I don't like seeing cables
hanging around and everything and it
looks kinda sloppy and I don't
particularly care for it so that's why
that's why I set it up that way I look
like six HDMI cables and then depending
on the size your living room if you
wanted to do it the same way you would
need of varying lengths of it so that is
how I set mine up it's really not that
crazy complicated I mean it looks more
complicated it really is but a lot of
things you probably you know your your
PC and monitor and obviously you have a
ready if you're a person that likes to
stream ultimately the only thing you
would really need is the HDMI matrix and
that one is think 79 1769 many nights
not crazy expensive but it's not
necessary something that everybody's
gonna wanna do so there you go
that is how I sent mine all up it works
really well you know when you switch it
takes about 45 seconds or so to change
over but really that's still a hell of
alot faster than this connecting cables
and switching things around and it works
really well for me and you don't really
lose any quality or anything like that
it still runs well there you go you guys
