All-in-One Journal & Travel Kit

My repurposed/reclaimed/recycled/whatever you want to call it homemade all-in-one journal and travel kit. It's also reusable too of course, I can use it with as many times as I can make new journals for it =) So pleased with it (and my own small space ingenuity lol!). Hope you enjoy x

Detailed Description of what's in the kit:
Left hand pockets: Coin envelopes containing: Die cuts, Punches. Journaling Spots. Plastic wallet with stamps & card with Brads.
On the ringbinder: The Journal pages. First wallet contains Stickers & Rub ons, second contains acrylic stamps, third is collage elements. Plastic folder contains gem strips, washi & decorative tapes.
Pockets on covers contain scissors and my homemade watersoluable palettes (which I have tutorial for).
Attachments that can hang outside of the kit are: Ring with ribbons on it, Tim Holtz fragment for stamping, eraser and pencil case. Waterbrush in pen loop and that's everything!

hi guys it's generally i have been going
through some more boxes of my post-grad
and I've decided I want to do a bit of
altering at this thing as filofax thing
that I found in it
get some paper chase and and they have
if you don't want very nice designs are
now they didn't have so much of a
variety when I bought this and as you
can see it's a little bit used and not
good but obviously kept it for a reason
these pockets don't go down very far
about their so I can't put in a load of
pens already thinks that won't work so i
have to figure out something for their
but what I want to do is turn this into
a journal and a journal kit all in one
to take away with me on my next holiday
i just want to have this one all in
comparison journal and I think I'll be
awesome if I can pull that off
and because this will just fit directly
in my bag and I won't have to worry
about anything else
this penny stop rejected and obviously
it's a bit of a adjusting op so we'll
see what I can do with it
alright guys so it's the next day and I
have gone through and find a few things
out that we were going to be thrown away
like these tissue box
I got this tissue box up for the steps
of tutorial that I bed after a fish
this is left over so i'm going to use
that man was throwing these plastic
water away
so I've got a really good idea for these
can't wait to use them
and in case those aren't big enough I've
been clearing out the studio and I found
this which is you can tell broken but
everything's falling out everywhere so i
may use this as one of the other ones

these wallets are suitable which house
is it got out of some clothing
I found this ball chain attached to a
tag
you know this thing was originally on
the journal so I'm going to figure out
something to use for that I'm really
looking forward to going to turn
I'm should be awesome right guys so i
finished making my travel kit
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out
I've got a lot in here I think you'll be
surprised and I did want to record me
making some of what was in here and i
thought i did buy the didn't press the
record button or i deleted the footage
on my camera so sorry guys but I'm about
to
I'll talk through anyway so what I have
in here is I use these little coin
envelopes to put in dies punchers or
journal in spots
I want happening for here as well if i
want to change it up
I have some stamps in this little pocket
that I made out of that plastic or I
have them some Brides in case i want to
put those in as well
smoke very stuck very snuggly in this
pocket under here are some scissors
which do fit in quite when you get them
right they do stick in there quite quite
well and so I'm quite happy about how i
can keep them safe and then what I have
here is a journal and my supplies and
what I originally was going to do for
the journal was this
I'm just get a load of scrap so security
envelopes and scraps and stuff and it's
going to make a junk journal
so that's what I started to do with
these pages and then I thought no I
don't want to make your journey i'm
going to treat myself and make an all
coordinating you know just use one paper
collection and because i usually do when
i create a journal I i make out of junk
that's my initial reaction is to go into
my scrap stronger than nice stuff so i
started doing this and I've just got to
put in scraps together on pages doing
some papers like this and stop and out
of the scraps what I was going to do was
when I had a page that was going to go
like that
I also kept the remainder of the scraps
so that I could stick it on the
alternative page which is quite a nice
idea to incorporate the pages together
and what I was going to do was keep this
where i was going to be staying and then
just take a few pages in the journal
with me and I'm still going to do that I
think so
this is the collection of choose to the
paper and why did with some of them is
folded them over so i have some pockets
some watercolor paper and I think that's
the majority of what I'll take one of
ours just the watercolor papers probably
won't take all of these supplies with me
that there i'll show you in the back
i'll just take one or two things with me
and this is the general but I don't know
what I'm going to do with the coffee yet
but this is the journal that i made for
it
my watercolor paper some really nice
because it's an awkward sighs some of
the papers i decided to make flaps with
or like I say I did quite a few pockets
this is what I was talking about with
the scraps i added straps onto the page
to kind of ties it in
so you've got things that come out of
your pockets and pockets here because
it's an awkward sighs it kind of folds
over here so you might as well use that
extra make some pockets things out there
so this one's got a little pocket in
here and look in the slice as well so
we'll see how this turns out when i come
back
so what you end up doing them was
picking things out that would coordinate
with it so we're random selection of
Brad's and and then the journal it spots
and pictures and things like that there
ought to coordinate with this journal so
the supplies what I did was I created
these funky wallets out of that plastic
and with that tissue box cardboard
I made these some closures with just
some pilots and in here this one is
stickers and runs as you can see kind of
match in a close game then I've got some
acrylic stamps and I've got an alphabet
and then I've got some patterns and you
probably say well how she's going to use
this actual thing
remember this chain thing well acrylic
stamps i mean you can't just pick up and
push down anyway but what I've got the
tim holtz fragment
so this good in here and that saves me
having to carry around a bigger chronic
block with me which is cool
so I've got those stumps in there then
I've got this bag of paper scraps or the
have still got a lot left over from the
journal that stick in here as well
also some collage elements and things
some scraps
now this one isn't an actual envelope
pocket
it's just like her a folder and what
I've done before anyone that the journal
was going to be what i did was i stuck
in some gems
I stuck on some decorative tape and I
stuck on some washi tape because it's
plastic
the tapes pull up so you can
and obviously these repositionable so
you can use them like that and then
you're probably wondering why I don't
have any pens pencils or anything what i
have is this pencil case that I found
that I can grip on here like that and
it's got a pencil pan is going to do a
blended sharpie it's got a blue stick in
there but a rubber is still quite big so
that was the ball chain that I find
remember drilled a hole in the rubber
huh I think that is pretty cool I'm
actually quite impressed moon smartness
in a way at that
so that can stick outside of the journal
as well if I wanted to
why I also did was honored just a key
chain ring
I put some ribbons in case i want to
stick some ribbons in there that much
the papers are pulled out but you're
still probably saying you're still not
got any coloring media
that's what's in there but there's no
coloring meteor in there apart from that
pull this little stamp pad that I have
to blend it stop hard and here's the
real genius one in the back
I have two pallets i have a water color
palette and the water-soluble palette
and I'm not going to show these to you
because this is my next tutorial and
don't want to spoil the surprise but
these roll the media culture media that
I'm going to need to take out and about
with me
so I think when I do go out and about
what I would probably do is just have
these water color palettes and then the
journal part with me i doubt i will take
the stickers stumps and the scrap papers
around with me
collage around with me probably take all
of these out just have a water brush and
I have little pots of water which you
might have seen i use these and have
sequins imitates sequins out these i got
from the pound store for throat six pack
six for a pound and I use them for
medical water pots so I'm really pleased
with how this turns out I've got lots of
ways to adapt in order to what I take
out with me and things and if I want to
I can just stick a pen in there that
still closes fine and all that kind of
stuff so I don't need to take out
everything with me all the time half of
what I've got will stay back at the
place while I go along with this
so I'm really pleased and I do have our
show you some of the things that i
actually found that I could alter as
well to computerize ideas for your own
ok so i found some other stuff in that
was the thing i found this which I got
from a car boot self between 2p sold
after that as well and then from my grad
place i found this like wallet thing
with all of these in here and it's got
this padding it and i might do something
with the pad but the paper is so thin
I'd have to stick a few pages together
and make turn into like an altar book
that there's lots of space for things in
here there's pockets and things like
that so there's all kinds of input
around that you can change into a travel
and journal care what else do I have
hold on things that come in the mail
like this
I had ideas to put some leader in there
and then put a journal in there so i
think there's lots of ideas
so I do hope that this is giving you
some for making your own all-in-one
traveling journal kit and look out for
