Import MOD to iMovie

For all the video makers, here's an easy way to import MOD files into iMovie. I went through a lot to make this video so that you wouldn't have to, don't judge me!

what's up this is easy OSX I just got
back from an adult conference in pigeon
forge tennessee and I had a great time
happy face one things I had to do the
adult conference was held back two
different videos and for both videos i
ran into the mid-40s at its a
proprietary format used by different
camcorder makers such as jbc can and
others the format itself isn't just
necessarily so bad it's just that the
pain to try to play back because most
video players are supported and even
worse for video editors because I movie
and OB other ones don't supported
natively you need usually some kind of
plug in a lot of times you can also try
to convert it
this tends to really reduce the quality
of it
fortunately while i was on my trip I
picked up a little tidbit on how to
natively import m.o.d format into iMovie
and now i'm going to show you how to do
it
you're going to want to open up a movie
and let that turn on
next you're going to have to take your
camera you don't want to take the SD
card out you just want to plug in your
camp this is the key portion plug in
your camera into your computer so i
asked for a pc or dvd mode like this
camera does if that's the case set it to
PC mode if you do said 2pc meal you may
see a mounted USB icon on your desktop
just like for a regular jump drive then
i'm going to hit the open camera button
or alternatively file import from camera
going to hit this one
normally this will bring up here webcam
but with the camera attached it brings
up this one so is the only movie i have
just been kind of rainy lately around
where I live
I'm gonna hit import don't hit done hit
import then i'm going to put it into a
new event
well see me i'm going to put it in its
own event
oh I can make a new event likewise I can
stabilize if I wanted to I'm not gonna
bother with it then hit import depending
on how many videos you're importing and
the length of each of them it may take
long
this one's only a 10 second video now I
have it here natively i can just I can
just drag it and drop it now and mo d
format is in my file and don't worry the
video . itself doesn't have any sound
note in theory this could work for other
movie editor such as moviemaker adobe
etc and some video editors will natively
import MOV files with the right plug in
such as adobe premiere but this is how
you doin I'm really since there's no
plugin that I know this is easy OSX and
