i'm nathan i'm here with day hello Dave
this is dark souls yes i remember this
is getting flashbacks
ok this guy very well so this is where
we got the chance to play a few hours of
dark souls 3 recently and this is the
unqualified bosses dave was there in the
game i'm going to show you guys there
already bosses and I'm sorry about that
but they are but they're not just
regular bad guys either
and this guy is a is a boss he's the
first boss that you meet in the game
they've been loaded practice of this guy
I did yeah I want to be in really really
well you know not just a little bit well
so it i assure you i really i took my
time over him and then he over me
we're playing on screen next to each
other yeah i got quite with the game but
I'm the park matching basically made a
fire matter from my big run through dark
souls and i'm quite you know it was
arranged the the kind of the bosses are
easier to negotiate a little bit when
you've got these kind of free i'm using
pi bonds to this is what this guy does
it i guess it name is like you dicks
Gundy yes that's it yeah and I don't
know he's some kind of Guardian this is
really really early on the star error
this is before we even reached the the
hob dark souls 3 yes we're going to show
you in another video this kind of
corruption this kind of I don't know
that i'm thinking maybe it's kind of
like char is ash I'm not really sure
we've seen it in previous videos we've
done it just happens to some of the
undead obviously in it when it happens
to you Dex here he becomes
extraordinarily powerful yes it's like
he's got like a big kind of snake
there's something in the red eyes as
well as the night there's a few enemies
in there in the game that have glowing
red eyes and I I don't understand what
that means yes means they're just pretty
strong so it doesn't mean that yet so I
just basically found them with fire
sorry that wasn't a more brilliant way
to kill him but he's day that's the
important thing
air fire destroyed my embers been
restored there and we've got coiled
sword which is how we set up the the
bonfire inside the hub which is filing
trying now this is a an area that was
locked off in the stress test which is
the kind of the last year so this is a
high wall of gothic and this is the kind
of the last thing you do before you get
to the next area where that you know
there was a dancer the frigid valley
yeah she was in the cathedral last time
that's right not anymore theres a lady
who tells you to come downstairs instead
she says no just walk to the edge of the
wall and wave this banner around and so
you go down there and instead of that
what you actually have to do first is
fight this like armored dog and what's
cool about this character is called her
warmth of the boreal valley so it's like
these themes of again like if you saw
the last video we get about five enemies
and dr. that from from the network
there was also like a frozen night
character the laws of these bosses
certain this early area like obviously
the game is about kind of passion fire
ball stuff out kind of being frozen
frigid value boreal value is kind of
like very kind of snowy really that's
how I didn't we first got her butt and
you know I took to heart some of the
stuff that people said about when we
were doing the problem dlc and I had a
very bad going and killing no big and
they were just saying just stick close
like when the when the bosses are kind
of really likes cutting around like just
a really in clothes which goes against
my strength
pyromancer but it is why did I was
basically crouching on the votes

big lad he's a big guy but i remember
watching you do this and I did work it

really didn't have too much it's gonna

from this point i would like to say I
remember talking to you in a couple of
people watching this game i'm out you

give up at this point

also this is another of the new enemies
here this isn't project this is just a
very angry person with some wood

yeah they calls me probably the most
problems at all the regular NPCs and
then just me and me and require having a
bit
a showdown project was furious with you
he really he really wasn't gonna let it
go
he wasn't no and he also has some fire
even though the Holy Night see I guess
miracles are really his bag he feeling
himself there and also look he's eating
his new like Combat Arts the new skills
i didn't really use them
why did use was rolling backwards into a
sewer full of massive rats
That's So unusual attacks it yeah that
work out for you
the rats luckily no no there there
ok the rats subjected to it so next time
I got to high ground and simply through
fire on him you know when you've got now
is there any chance snake that you want
to your your full playthrough of the
game as a Pyromancer because a
reasonable chance although my face so
far I'm having a bit of range is is
really really useful although starting
off the Pyromancer I couldn't use any of
the weapons were found in about four
hours of play and I wasn't strong enough
to use the power either so you know is
limited in some ways and not others
that's me taking on the spirit I've done
these in order so the next thing that we
see is probably the biggest weirdest
posture we came two day was actually um
but much better at this than me and you
called it as well because means actually
been saying that the boss like he thinks
everyone's gonna be really impressed
with how complicated the maps in the
areas are we were and also that the
bosses he tried to do something
different with each one and they're kind
of themed to the areas i'm almost
straightaway you like these people seem
to have lots of roots in them
yeah you're gonna be fighting a tree we
saw we saw a lot of dead bodies that
have been just kind of completely
overtaken by root systems and be like
the last of us but trees
exactly yeah it was his nature taking
back what is it what it was a terrible
sentence but you know I'm saying and
their her and the curse rotted great
word was kind of you can see him you can
see them there it kind of sat down and
and you know we were for a long time we
played this through
we will have me ghostwriting we have
time yeah eventually you came up with a
much better method of killing all the
NPC's they do drop as well from his
branches but not very not very often and
that allows you to get right into what
we did discover what's the weak spot
yes or spots yeah it's the obvious thing
in in there
exactly you're looking at it right now
and you're thinking I know why I've got
him but you put you you don't want to go
right there
no this is I think this is your tactic
by the way so you you cleared everyone
out you run right in there and you just
let him have it
Yeah right right in the kind of I don't
even want to risk going yeah fungal area
yeah so yes to creep out of his corner
first before we can their launch exactly

you go for it before that you can head
straight to stage two which is down
below this is your very quick and
efficient way of getting through there
so you have to be patient with the NPC
characters and then we'll decide whether
you know all the ads and then he was an
extra arm you're saying it was like
there might be something else like it
comes out with them if you look at it
there's definitely something in there
looks like it's not just an army no it's
not just sprouted are there is something
living inside that tree there's a moment
it's about think it's in this captured

which then leaves these other kind of
posture areas exposed and that's what
you have to you can hear his arms new on
or you can hit these kind of clusters of
things
yeah and that does damaging and they're
kind of minor damage and M&A birthday
did quite big damage but it's quite hard
to aim at them
yeah and then if you go around the front
that happens he just smash your face off
yeah it's it's really interesting so
commander because you can only aim it
like his mane his body
you can't aim at the individual little
pustules so you have to kind of if
you're gonna take him a range you're
gonna have to wait your moment exactly
more patient and we were being quite
patient we were by I think it's just
quite often if you can't find a way to
be in front of him without getting
swiped by the arm here in your business
yeah I'm final one which is I just
wanted to capture at the end i give a
shout out to Tom from pc gamer who was
the one who told me how to get here look
at it is Dave the onion knight look at
him
this is actually easy ward of the
Knights of catarina who I guess it's
some kind of relation to how was eating
wire which was the one in Dark Souls so
he's there's a lift kind of puzzle here
and you have to roll off the lift to get
it going to send directions and then
roll off it and then you're this is like
a new area of the undead settlement that
we were exploring anyway and I wanted to
get in here because there's a big fiery
creature and like Tom Tom be him and and
showed me how to get to him and I was
like yeah I'm gonna get this capture
like the pr's were literally saying guys
you gotta wrap it up and I was like I'm
just gonna I'm just gonna kill you
just five more minutes I just do five
more minutes so they came out and I was
like listening to 20 wardens like I'm
gonna I'm gonna come and help you and I
was like okay I'm just gonna let sequel
joining the fight and then we'll get and
then I was like oh my god the earth step
over soon as the first pic got me the
second case
in $YEAR and that was the end of that
guy is cool listening I wanted to show
him but yeah basically busted me right
up and then we ran out of time so i can
I haven't shown him is as fully as i'd
like to know but I wanted to give you
guys a glimpse
yeah he's I mean if we talk about is on
