you how to set up a password on your pc
so that when you leave it automatically
lock and your children can't get online
with it
here we go to set up a password for your
computer so that if you have a screen
saver come on and let's say 10 minutes
walks away and and you want your
computer to be locked
you don't want your kids on it or if
you've been gone and your kids get home
before you do you can set up a password
so they can't get on your computer until
you let them on your computer
what you need to do for pc is go to your
Start bar now I use mine on the left
hand side you can change that in Windows
but yours most likely be at the bottom
of your screen
so just come up here to wherever your
Start button is click on start and you
can go to control panel here or if you
don't have that just type in control
panel on the search in the end this is
windows 7 and comes up right there and
you can click on that once you get in
here you want to make sure that your
review by is by category and not large
icons or small icons by category
so we'll be on the same page here now
the first place we need to go is to user
accounts and user accounts there and you
want to make sure under your account
that you have set up here that you make
sure you change your password type in
your current password if you don't have
one then leave it blank and type in your
new password confirm that password and
type in a little hint that only you will
know not your kids so you can remember
and push change password
this way if you don't have a password
set up we've just set you one up
now get your back button and we'll go
back to the control panel
if you get confused on that start right

go back to the control panel brings you
the same place now once we've got our
our password set up here is the last
thing we need to do go to appearance and
personalization go to personalization go
to screen savers
and choose something other than blank
maybe bubbles and you can see the little
things coming up there or mystify and
you want to set your weight
- 10 minutes now if you want this to be
longer before your screensaver comes on
you can set that longer and then here's
the key on resume display login screen
so what this will do is soon about 10
minutes after you stop using your
computer screen saver come on
as soon as somebody comes over and move
your mouse a pop-up says hey put in your
password so you get on the computer
so now you've locked your computer and
no one get on unless you allow them on
that's it push apply push okay and
you're done you just set up your pc to
be locked by a password after 10 minutes
after you walk away
