Mac PowerPoint to PDF Options

Paper saving options for saving PowerPoint presentations to PDF for PowerPoint 2008.

hi folks today we're going to look at
some paper saving options for ways to
publish your PowerPoint presentations
and the first stop short and look at is
if you want to just save the content of
your slides so for example if a student
was absent from class you just wanted to
give him the content of the slides
ok so on Mac what we're going to do is
go to file print and our choices over
here it says print what we're going to
choose to print out wine and you can see
in the preview that this is going to cut
it down to two pages just showing the
content that was in this presentation
this was a 10 slide presentation so this
can really save a lot of paper and what
we want to do with this is if you're
printing it you just print but if we
want to know publish this to the web
we're going to do PDF save as PDF now we
can just give it a name call this web
outline but it's just the outline also
change the title of it
and then i can just click Save and we go
ahead and save this on my desktop so i
know where it's at now the second option
is if you really like the visual
presentation of your PowerPoint and you
want to save the actual slides what
we're going to do is just publish more
than one to a page because you don't
need that big of a presentation when
you're publishing this so we're going to
do now is go ahead and do print again
this time under the print what we're
going to choose handouts now you can go
2 3 4 6 or 9 i'm going to choose six
again 10 slides going to now print on
two pages instead of 10 pages and it's
going to be much easier on the printer
so i'm going to save as PDF and call
this one web publish just to give it a
different name say this my desktop as
well say that now either one of these
either web publisher web outline i could
publish to my website or to Moodle site
kids could download those print them out
and it would be much easier on their
printer then printing out 10 full slide
