NMC Interactive Services Browser 1.0.2 Long Description:
NMC IS Browser is a light-weight all-digital, PC compatible 'TV Software' package (No audio/video playback) designed exclusively with Middleware support for MHEG-5, MHP, BML and OCAP. MHEG-5 Middleware is included with the registered version of this software. Other Middleware implementations must be purchased separately.
DVB-T, DVB-C and ATSC (Antenna and clear QAM digital cable) compatible (Some ATSC devices may not properly support QAM). NMC IS Browser supports most tuner devices with compatible BDA drivers. Conditional Access (CA) decryption and Common Interface (CI) access are currently not supported.
Use your TV Tuner card or USB dongle to receive and execute Interactive Service applications stored in DSM-CC Object Carousels. These applications are transmitted by an increasing number of TV and Radio Stations across the world. The DSM-CC Object Carousel can be compared to a virtual file system used to transmit a set of files organized in folders. Local weather, up-to-date traffic information, news, interactive games are some of the applications offered today.
Save the DSM-CC Object Carousel together with the Interactive Service applications for later playback. Detailed Transport Stream analysis in the Object Browser, including a visualization of the DSM-CC Object Carousel. The PRO version supports export of the file system to the hard drive and a source-code representation of the running MHEG-5 application.
Even without a TV Tuner card, Interactive Service applications can be played back from pre-recorded transport stream files or a DSM-CC Object Carousel exported
from the IS Browser or NMC DTV Software, turning the IS Browser into a TS Reader displaying detailed DSM-CC Object Carousel and PSI/SI service information.
With the PRO version, a mounted DSM-CC Object Carousel's files can be dumped to the harddrive for closer inspection. A currently running MHEG-5 Application's source code equivalent and variable contents can be viewed in the Object Browser.
