well as many of you have discovered i
haven't updated my video for talking
caller ID for quite some time
number things have changed and i'm going
to show you those real quick to pick
right now so I've installed talking
caller ID and take you through basically
the setup and how it works
having just installed it should be ready
to go but you want to try coming here
and you need to make sure in the
settings tab that and they were in turn
is checked like it is here and when it
is checked the preview button is
available so i'll try that
ok so that's what it sounds like when
when you receive a call it is of course
the name of the person or the number
would be would be said
instead of John Doe some of the options
you have when setting this up and choose
to have a use for all calls or only
calls that are in your contact list or
all cup only calls that are not in your
contact list
i'm currently set up to only only use
only only get announced calls that are
in my list
so if i get a call from somebody I don't
know it'll it won't do anything i'll
just play the ringtone like normal but I
want to announce anything
of course i can change that with that
setting start message
same as it always has been call from or
you know incoming call from whatever you
want to say before the person's name or
number
default message is still the text that
is used when number isn't isn't
available so if somebody blocks their
number of the caller ID from you
this is the message that it will that
will be spoken to you
the repeat count is the number of times
that they could be a caller ID will be
announced you could say anywhere from 1
to 35 or if you really want to just have
it go until the call either hangs up or
you accepted you could use infinite
speed pitch are as they were before the
speed and the pitch of the voice that's
talking one thing to know when talking
caller ID is set up and working
they no longer displays in the ringtones
list for your phone
it's not so much a ringtone as it is a
nap
so your regular whatever regarding don't
you have selected will still play with
color talking caller ID will speak over
the over the ringtone is kind of neat
effect
there's also a free version available
and it's very Peter limited and it has
ads but it's also out there on the
market
