AUDACITY Free Audio Editor and Recorder - How to Remove BACKGROUND NOISE & Much More - Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux - If you've ever had problems with background noise for your Audio files, Audacity makes it a simple and easy process to eliminate things like that which ruin the quality of our audio making for videos. Not only that, there is so much more that you can to with AUDACITY that I just had to share with you all.

It seems as though I was on the windows download page at the website and was in error to think that it was only for windows, but Audacity is available for Windows®, Mac®, GNU/Linux® and other operating systems. Here are the links so you can check it out for yourself.

well I want to make a quick video
concerning the removal of background
noises from your audio files you know
sometimes we make a video we don't want
to use the audio from the actual camera
we want to put the audio on top of it
and add it to our video and sometimes we
get those noises like the home from air
conditioner or something like that
well you can remove those sounds I'm
going to put the link for this for
audacity free download works for windows
or xpvista7 those 7 and Windows 8 i'll
also add the link for the manual
tutorials and everything you need to
learn how to do it now here's the actual
program right here now made a sample
audio using this right here now you can
actually make all your audio just from
right here just plug your mic in and hit
the record button and boom you've got an
audio you can add it to your video but
sometimes those noises are in there that
we don't want and it's so simple to take
out let me show you how
first of all I've made a sample right
here i'm going to play it for you
ok youtube can hear that noise in the
background that's an electric heater
simply get rid of that background noise
okay now notice how that had a humming a
real noise in the background that you
would want if you're going to add it to
your video right come to your effects
button right here click it
come on down to noise removal right here
when you click this step one says select
a few seconds of up just noise so
audacity knows what the filter out then
click the get noise profile so get rid
of that hear is noise
these are my voice talking so I'm going
to want to get a sample from mike here
to here remember what it said come back
to your noise removal get your noise
profile now you have your noise profile
right you come to step 2 and it says
select all of the audio you want
filtered choose how much noise you want
filtered out and then click the ok which
is right here we're going to remove so
you keep it right there now your job is
to do the whole video from start to
finish
we've got it all highlighted there come
back to your effects come back to noise
removal and we've already chosen remove
just click the ok boom
now listen to it
ok youtube and hear that noise in the
background that's an electric heater
simply get rid of that background noise
notice there's no longer any noise isn't
that cool
well I thought you might appreciate that
and keep in mind you can add effects and
all kinds of stuff you know I'm to your
voice and do all kinds of stuff i'm not
going to get into that but you can you
know read the tutorials or I read the
manual do the tutorials and you can
learn all kinds of things to do with
your voice but i think the most
important one is filtering out those
background noises and now you know how
to do that
oh yeah i forgot to mention once you
have your audio just like you want it
whether you're taking out background
noises are adding effects or whatever
all you have to do to save it is hit
your export button and fill out your
save information and you'll be done save
it to your documents and you'll have
your audio file to add to your video so
just go onto an audacity get your free
download and you'll be all equipped to
do all kinds of stuff with your audios
