In todays video I answer a viewers question: How do I save/print an autocad to a black and white pdf?

Well I explain exactly how to do this using the page setup manager

hey everybody this is brandon from cat
intentions and better at everything dot
info in today's video I'm going to
answer a viewer question and I'm just
gonna get started right away
the question is how can I save export or
print my current file as a
black-and-white PDF so you're actually
going to be printing it rather than
saving or exporting it to print your
file in PDF form you're going to set up
your viewport in a layout tab or in a
model tab but i prefer layout so i'm
going to show you that way
I've already got one inserted from my
title block package this is part of the
silver package on title box.com she can
check out now if you'd like you can see
that my drawing is done in multiple
colors but if i want to print it in
black and white you don't actually have
to change all the linework to
black-and-white you can simply select
that in the plot settings so we're going
to select right-click on the the tab
that we want to print and go page setup
manager make sure the correct title
block or a layout tab is selected click
modify and in here is where we're going
to select PDF so do that under printer
plotter you're going to want to select
DWG to PDF and this converts or Prince
your drawing file to a PDF it's a free
by auto autodesk and it comes with
autocad now here's where you're going to
use the plot style table over here on
the right to modify the colors so we're
going to choose monochrome or grayscale
either 1 i'm going to use monochrome
because it's black and white and very
simple you make sure plot with plot
styles is checked to use that so you can
preview this by hitting the preview
button on the bottom left here and as
you can see all of that line work now is
simply converted to black
very easy and simple way to print your
drawing to PDF in monochrome or
black-and-white now to print your
drawing simply hit escape to leave the
preview escape it ok to exit the page
setup and close the page setup manager
right click on your layout tab and
select plot your settings will be saved
drawing the PDF monochrome simply hit
okay and it's going to ask you where you
would like to save your PDF save it
there and you can see that it plotted
and once we open the PDF you can see are
black-and-white contour plan plotted on
a PDF thanks for watching and be sure to
