How To Batch PDF Filename, text date, time and Image Stamper (free)
Hey guys! Here is an updated video showing the latest features and how to use them for adding the filename, custom text (date/time etc), and/or images to PDFs in a batch process.
I made this program and it can be found at http://www.saintjohnny.com Thanks for watching! My software is created and run by myself, and I have no spyware/viruses embedded in the code, and the source code is provided as well to stay transparent.
This program can be found at http://www.saintjohnny.com
I created this in C#, and you can check out my source code if you want to make sure you know how it works, but i'm not claiming to be an expert programmer, or even a good one, so go easy on me there!
One benefit to labeling PDFs this way is that the text is not part of the "footer" function in adobe, that way if you combine multiple PDFs that you stamped into a single PDF, the stamp will stay intact in it's original text for each slide, whereas if you used the adobe footer function, you can only really have one footer for the entire document, so your stamps would be lost.
If you are wondering why it would be useful to have the filename on a PDF, this program may not be for you, but one of the many reasons would be if for your job you are dealing with a lot of floor plans that don't have labels on them for example, but the filenames were correct such as "Floor 1.PDF" then you could stamp all the files before printing them, and you'd have an indicator of what each floor was based on the stamp. This also applies to when you combine multiple PDFs into one PDF and would then no longer have the filename to rely on.
Let me know if this program helped you out, or if you would like to see other features. Thanks for watching!
Edit: on the latest version (not shown here) I've added wordwrap, true 45° angle transparent watermark, page numbering, and top/bottom and right/center/left options for text.

hey guys I wanted to make a all-new
all-inclusive video on how to use the
PDF Stamper I've added some new features
so just start from the top here so the
main feature here is to stamp the
filename to the PDF so we've got it set
to stamp on the bottom left with red
color with 15 font size so you highlight
all the pdfs drag and drop them into the
form and then there you go
now that's a little high might want a
little lower so it's not riding up on
the floor plan there so if you want to
change the y-coordinates maybe down to
like 20 to move down a little bit let's
close this label media folder and read
drag-and-drop and there we go that's
pretty good
so the next if you want to do like a
prefix maybe like a job number and then
a revision so the prefix goes before the
founding the suffix goes after
drag-and-drop and you've got your job
number there
floorplan have to if you want to do the
file past sometimes that can be in
school for cad drawings or not when they
have the names in the folder structure
so that includes the file path there
and what else we got here let's get rid
of those obviously the y-coordinates
moving on the index coordinates we'll
move it on the x-plane left and right if
you want to like a watermark with a red
text font size 60 you like a
confidential type morning it's pretty
useful stamps every page of the document
of course what else we get custom text
you just want to put like you don't know
anything you need in there maybe the
date
drag-and-drop actually lets do like the
center with a blue text on stairs to me
put into the top and the bottom so
you've got your custom text there the
man
lastly you can also stamp like a company
logo if you want so Batman for example
let's do it
yeah
it's probably gonna be too big but you
can change that so that's the original
size change it to twenty percent
drag-and-drop BAM works out pretty well
and you can also save your settings now
so find some settings you like whatever
you type in there forever change up here
yeah
so you save your settings you can
overwrite them so that way when you open
it the next time everything still there
and you can also load the default
factory settings and then save those if
you wanna just go back to scratch
I think that's everything on the f you
guys have any questions let me know what
you think
peace
