Using the Zoku Quick Pop Maker and Character Tool Kit | Williams-Sonoma
You can add life to your quick pop by using the Zoku Character Tool Kit to create fun, playful characters. In this video, Kara, Product Expert for Williams-Sonoma shows us how to add more personality to a zoku using the easy pop maker.
Kara starts by cutting out eye and mouth shapes from a thinly sliced pear for the face of the zoku pop. She then adds these cutouts into a bowl of water and lemon juice to make sure they don't get brown. She tilts the Zoku pop maker and places the shapes on the face plate and slides it into the popsicle maker. Once it's completely inside, she lifts the face plate up and sticks it to the top of one of the slots. She holds it for a few seconds and removes it after the fruits are completely stuck.
To make the pops, Kara places the Zoku pop maker back into its original position. She then inserts the stick carefully and adds about two thirds of grape juice and one thirds of the tangerine juice. Removing the zoku pop is simple. Just use the super tool to the stick, remove it, flip it back in, unscrew it, add the drip tray and there you have your zoku pop!
Use the Zoku Quick Pop Maker to help you prepare more fun characters that are sure to appeal kids!

if you enjoy getting creative with your
zoku quick pop maker
then add even more personality with the
zoku character kit with this kit you can
create faces or animals while still
using some of the original zoku
techniques like stripes and Phil pops
start with thinly sliced fruit apples
pears work well but any fruit you like
really and then choose your shapes to
cut out a little face going to use this
shape for my mouth and then this shape
for my eyes will do two of these
now if any of the pieces get stuck in
the cutter
you can use this pusher tool to remove
the pieces of fruit
I think mine are fine i'm going to let
these rest and a little bath of water
with some lemon juice to make sure that
they don't get brown and to help the
pieces stick to my xoco going to turn my
zoku pot maker on its end and i'm going
to place my fruit shapes on my face
plate
so we'll put the smiled down here on the
bottom part and then the two eyes right
above it and that is exactly how I'd
like it to look on my pop when it's
finished I'm going to slide the face
plate on the bottom when I hit the back
of the zoku i'm going to lift it up
while pressing onto the top and this way
the fruit will adhere to the top of the
pot maker just going to hold it here for
a few seconds or until the fruit sticks
my fruit is in we're going to turn this
back upright and now we're going to make
our pops i'm going to insert my stick
being careful not to hit the fruit on
the side
I'm going to make a two-tone pop let's
do two thirds grape juice and then
one-third tangerine juice or very
carefully up the sides and just eyeball
to about where you'd like the division
to be
we're going to let this firm up for a
bit and then we'll add our next layer of
juice
it looks like my first layer has frozen
so time to add my next juice
tangerine juice just a few more minutes
and we'll have our fresh made Pop my pop
is ready so let's loosen it with the
super tool is screwed on loosen the pop
there you go release it a bit
unscrew the tool at a drip tray snap
right on
and there you have an adorable little
face made with our zoku character kit
