this
hi there and welcome back to another
episode of mind power
my name is price l Tomlinson from New
dipped media.com and today I'm going to
show you how to retrieve your stored
passwords on firefox mozilla firefox
last week I showed you how to retrieve
them on google chrome today I'm going to
show you how to do it on firefox process
is pretty much similar between the pc
and the mac and so I'm just going to
show you how to do it on the mac and
fairly certain that you'll be able to
find your way to it on the pc as well so
what I'm going to do is go to Firefox
Firefox menu preferences of course if
you don't have the menu you can go up
and click the firefox button and you'll
have the with the orange Firefox button
so under security we have privacy
applications content under security
saved passwords and right here it will
actually show you your username and
passwords
it's a little different from the way it
is on Chrome but you'll see
still the same list of usernames and
passwords for all the sites that is
stored data on any of these you can
right-click on them
and select copy password that will allow
you to copy the password to your
clipboard maybe paste it into a notebook
and as well you can also just click show
passwords which i'm not going to do
because that would be goofy for me to do
that in front of all you and it will
actually show another column with the
passwords attached again you can
right-click just copy the password and
it'll be in your clipboard and then you
can paste it somewhere else now a great
reason why you might not want to store
your passwords in firefox might be
because anyone who has access to your
computer can just go fire policy
preferences security save passwords and
look up all your saved passwords that
would be a bummer and especially if you
like go to you know cafe or anything
like that someone can very easily
retrieve your passwords from browser at
the cafe or something and but even if
you have a laptop you know if you leave
it sitting on a table somewhere and your
buddy comes over and he just wants to
play a prank on you and hack your
facebook well it's not that hard
so just be very wary a great alternative
is to get the roboform plugin for
firefox you get the rubble form
or roboform light which uses both of
them can use the roboform everywhere
database and store your passwords
encrypted 128-bit encryption and they
say even they cannot retrieve your
password if you don't have your
passphrase so it's protected with a
username password and encryption
passphrase so that's just a great way to
protect your passwords way more secure
than just storing them on you know
notepad document or no in your
preferences here where it's really easy
to get out
