everybody I'm Chadwick
film & video here in nashville tennessee
and thanks for joining us back here for
another another product video well today
we've got PTZ cameras in the house
pan-tilt-zoom and specifically the
panasonic HD 60 this camera comes in two
models the HD 60hz 60s the difference
between those two models is really just
the output the cameras themselves are
virtually identical
the difference is the H model gives you
hdmi and component outputs and the s
model gives you HD or SD SD I along with
component outputs and jen lock in the
gym locks great especially if you're
trying to sync the camera in a
multi-camera environment now the camera
has a couple different mounting options
you can set it on the table like we have
here or you can mount it on the ceiling
or a magic armor something with the
quarter 23 that's on the bottom of this
camera so either right side up or upside
down you'll be able to use the camera in
either way now all these cameras come
with an 18 x zoom there's also a 10 by
digital zoom of course I would never
recommend using a digital zoom unless
you just absolutely have to get that
shot but the 18 x optical zoom is is
more than adequate for a camera the size
it has a one-third inch seam all seem
hostile ship and this camera is actually
an upgrade from the HD 50 that's been
around for a little while the really the
differences are that the new models give
you 1080p60 with the hdmi version or
1080p30 with the SDI version you also
get individual red blue paint controls
and my personal favorite is a video guy
is the 16 axis color matrix now what
that allows you to do is if you're
trying to bring the HD 60 in with a
bunch of other cameras a multi-camera
broadcast shoot and you want to make
that camera look like those other
cameras you can use that 16 ax axis
matrix pain control to set your color
imagery to match your other cameras now
you need something like a macbeth chart
or DSC laps chart to really do that
right but it gives you a lot of control
to be able to bring that camera into
another multi-camera environment make it
look like the rest of them so very cool
feature that I like now it also has a
nighttime mode which is kinda cool
because if you you can shoot in virtual
darkness as long as you have some sort
of infrared
light source you can shoot in very dark
or almost no light situations that's
great for reality TV programming or
maybe you're doing a sleep study for
medical field anything that you would
need a low-life for that higher mode is
pretty cool
now another feature that panasonic
incorporates with these cameras is the
live IP monitoring now this is great if
you have multiple cameras or even want
even just one you can monitor it and
control it on any computer that's
connected to the network or your iPhone
or Android phone actually will will work
as well you can do up to 16 individual
tiles and you can monitor 16 individual
cameras or you can do one shot at qvga
resolution at 30 frames a second great
feature now of course the camera's not
much use without a controller so we have
the RP 50 here and the RP 50 gives you
all your standard pan tilt zoom controls
of course with your joystick your rocker
zoom like you would see on any handheld
camera and your focus and iris which are
both the control either manually or
automatically
now your camera has preset moves where
you can go and grab a shot focus it
store it on one of your presets you can
hot button here we can just hit the
button and it will automatically go like
i can hit the button here and you can
see the camera is going to go to a shot
that I had on my one of my riptides here
i've also got a shot of cody that's
shooting a video for us and then another
preset I shot just me here the table so
just one button execution on those very
very simple
now the networking option is also really
cool as two ways to connect these
cameras to the controller you have the
network option which is probably the the
way that i would recommend doing it i
have a standard netgear router here with
the four points which you can use any
switch you can Network up 200 these
cameras all on one network and control
them with the RP 50 you can also cascade
these RP fifties and assign them into
groups where you can you can control
multiple ones with multiple controllers
but either way you choose if you're
actually gonna be using that many that
may be the way to go otherwise you can
just use one controller and control all
the cameras you want then there's also a
serial interface where you can connect
directly to the RP 50 and the h-60 via
any cat five cable finally there's a
actually a remote control and an ir
remote control that you can use to
control the camera as well just pointed
at the camera and use remote control
couple of limitations on these that you
may want to consider that if you are
using these cameras for live on air
where you want real slow precise
movements or maybe you want to store
instead of a preset you want to store a
real slow precise move now there's
another option available to you is
called 'he 120 with the RP 120 it's an
upgraded version of this camera and
controller that we don't have to show
you here today but i wanted to mention
it to you because if you're wanting to
step it up just a little bit
you may want to consider the panasonic
HD 120 no RP 120 again that gives you a
little better imager quality live it
gives you a smoother operation and the
RP twenties larger with bigger handle so
that you can get more precise movements
when you're trying to do an on-air move
or store macro where you can record
those in lieu of presets that we do on
the RP 50 so if that's what you need
what your needs are you need to call us
in contact
listen to more information about the HD
120 but otherwise this is a great small
package for any any any use for pan tilt
zoom cameras mounting them any way you
want to
we're really excited to have it here
