HDR Efex Pro 2 with Mac Photos

hello everybody this is Mendel today
into SP Series tutorial I would like to
show you how to create HDR images in
within photos using an extension from
the neck collection as well as the
extension for photos that little app you
can buy for cheap you want to learn how
to make things work between ethnic
collection and photos look at this video
here and if you are ready to jump
through hoops I'll show you what you
need to do so it sounds fairly easy but
it's slightly complicated strangely
because photo does not like you to edit
Multi photos or export Multi photos at
the same time so they look at these
three images does it have made three
images I was shooting for the HDR
the whole idea behind the HDR photos
which choose different exposure as you
can tell here disguise very nice in this
photo but building is not so great and
this one disguise not so nice but the
buildings are great and that in-between
picture while the water is fine but the
things once we mix all of these pictures
together then we have what we call a
high dynamic range photos of the age Dr
so we'll have all the details from the
buildings as well as all the details in
the sky so that's what a HDR picture is
is combining different exposure
different images together to get all of
the Rangers super high dynamic range so
I will be making video tutorials

our first problem that we gonna run into
with photos so I can not choose this 35
pictures and right click and say I want
to use certain software he just doesn't
work that way I can share the photos of
2012 and social media as a whatever
iCloud but I cannot edit this 3 photos
into one software so you're it is a few
things are going to do here so here's
what we gonna do first is we had to
choose one of the three picture doesn't
really matter which one are we want to
do here at this point it's cool to the

the third 3050 extension that we

to this is if you only use one photo to
create an HDR alike feel to your photo
it will work but in the area where you
actually had a lot of darkness so you do
remember in minimal exposure exposure it
shows here was very dark and the
building here and ask I wasn't that
great as the other photo so in that case
what would happen is that there will be
lots of noise in green so basically we
took a dark place in the picture in
added up a lot of flight to it you will
only be just sticking the shadow out of
there and stuff so
it's not the best way to work it you can
do it this way but if you take the
proper exposure which is the right one
and you won't have a problem with their
details it will be beautiful will be
crisper will be so much richer photo so
if you were to look at this on their own
a super screen for key screen you would
look as good as a full-on HDR photo with
34 which is what we gonna try to do here
so now we are in asia effects bro what
we gonna do is we're gonna go to File
Open images and at this stage it goes to
this folder in photos where I get this
three images to sherry can go around and
take a look where they are but here they
are so we can choose these three images
and press opens we can open the three
now what's going to happen is this
specific HDR Efex Pro software will take
the three images since rely on them
together as it was shooting from a
moving Dr doc was moving with the water
so even though is using a try but it
wasn't like percent ok so see we got a
different screen here now we working the
three photos on the top so you see here
is minus 20 and 1.9 so what that mean is
this photo there were some minus to
start so its mad dark hair exposure to
stop dark exposure 0 this is the picture
which is the one that camera decide that
was the right exposure 0 1.9 it is 1.9
stop brighter than that male sports you
are always take one photo and then in my
specific Canon 7d have the choice to do
I plus two are managed to bracket
affected so then this is where there's a
serb bracketing effects or minus 20 and
plus do so now here in the main screen I
can move this little thing here this
latter back and forth so what I gotta do
is trying to find an area where the sky
doesn't look too fake and things doesn't
look too bad so I think that somewhere
in there it's not to bed soon as a nice
in here and look good if you think you
can look on the right side
alignment you want that for sure because
again I need to software to align the
picture together unless it won't be good
idea goes reductions
you know sometimes its good its growth
reduction want to do HP are you finally
weird spots here and there so you can
take dis if u want our leave it like
this and chromatic aberration in the
side of the building and stuff sometimes
you see some purple lines or different
green lines and stuff like that I always
choose to correct the variation myself
so now that we have two linemen and the
chromatic aberration chosen you can
choose to do the ghost reduction and see
what happened I want but you create your
HDR photo so now what's happening is the
software is deciding which which part of
the photo will be blended with which
other part for so my minus two exposure
which one the one with dark sky now will
be blended with my middle 10 the sky
will be merge the two the 240 be merged
to create a beautiful sky while the
buildings the softer want shoes that
exporters that has for the sky because
it was hiding the building so this is
the result we have right so it's not bad
at all so in the left here you have the
preset library so those are Lake certain
like presets so you can choose from like
you know something super crazy black and
white national law core you know there's
a lot of different options there you can
create your own as well as you feel like
it on the right side
this is where you choose the actual
little tweaking you wanna do so let's
first take a look at the color
saturation so if you look at their color
in your image do you feel that a blue
single too much perhaps so if you're
bringing such a situation down you can
in getting rid of bit of that too much
caller if you feel it's not enough then
you can crank it up
up a little bit but the Blues at all too
much I can bring the situation down just
now each the temperature is too much
blue there that's why the temperature at
the little bit of orange because it's a
sunset right so we want that nice orange
color to follow so correct judgment
looks are a gonna close this it's going
to turn out then we can play with
different more things here the exposure
is it to break to Derek well several arc
can bring up maybe just a little bit the
shadows now if you look in the buildings
and stuff like that this is mainly
whether shadow will be affecting your
image so if they go all the way up into
the building looks super weird now we're
not gonna be dark so just gonna find a
committal happy medium of finding it was
pretty good work was 20%
highlights you get a look at this area
brightness where the water is the
highlights is we're gonna be affecting
in this image so we can tell now it
looks super fake and stuff so you know
you want to find somewhere if you feel
happy with your I think it's pretty good
they're they're contrast again is going
to be either flat so or a little bit
more contrast so many by flat is less
difference between the dark and the
Brighton image if you go around its
darker and brighter in different parts
of the country s pretty good like it was
the black again it's going to be only
with the black image and it was actually
very good during the Middle white same
ATS structure like the structure now
look at the details and the sky that
structure up a little bit you can see
more detail is coming super crazy and
stuff if you had too much grain noise
and looks a little weird so you know
just a little bit of structure for me
works good give it more natural look
again all depend what type of picture as
well right so if I go two tone
compression dad and does a little bit to
you as well so I find like it was pretty
good work was and Methods trends well
you can get a mess around with this if
you want to what I like you
HDR method so they want a detailed to be
realistic I do want to be detailed
grungy you know it's not like that
because it's easy to understand the
drama do you want it to be super crazy
so you know you can change a lot of
things by these little sure method so
let's see we're happy with this photo
this is a nice result so what we gonna
do here you can just press Save like we
do with the other when I gonna do here
as I gonna save the image as and then
untied all I'm gonna call that the new
Dzire and by default it is showing into
your last fall there will you had the
HDR photos that you just imported it if
you don't have it there I highly suggest
that you go that's a where you start of
photos and put in there just for the
sake of it let's just put it on the
desktop as new HDR we gonna press Save
and this is saving the image there and
we're gonna make a test as well we're
gonna press Save in see what happened to
our image where it's going to be saved
so it is now sitting on her desk though
up so whatever we are done with this we
create a new name as well so you see
what we're working on there is like a
cheerful 103 so we're gonna press Save
here and by pressing save what happened
is the sufferer will save this image
into a certain place on your computer
which sometimes I find with this
software it's a little tricky what
happen with the other Google Nick
collection it's easy to follow the trace
thank you do press Save and you see a
change right away into the photo
external auditors but the HDR Efex Pro
phone reason does not do that so we're
back to this image so we gonna press
Save Changes and that will bring us back
to photos and from photos we gonna
president done and we gonna go to a
project
and now you see the photo did not
introduce any where in there so this is
a downside you will need to reintroduce
a photo by going to file and import so
this is the second kind of things you
gotta do here so few words to if you
saved it into that folder it told you
that was the one the last one you use
you would be able to easy just click on
this review for import but because we
didn't do that and I'm not a hundred
percent sure where that photo got sent
like when we press Save so that's why I
went straight to the desktop because I
knew from there I would be able to find
a new HDR photo and then we can move the
photo wherever you put on your computer
you can choose where you know that you
can find it afterwards you press review
for import and then here it is this is
not our last import so what you gonna do
is your address on this photo and in
your press Albom sorry my bad
University's photo and you're gonna
press album here in a plus sign they're
gonna ask you where you put it in a bit
nippy series ok and now if I go back to
my album here it is that's a photo so if
you look at what we had we had the dark
exposure to normal exporter in the brand
exposure those on that too bad photos
are not that great but mixed together we
have something pretty awesome and then
once you've done that if you feel like
you need to edit some more than you can
go ahead and do whatever you gotta do
with this photo so hopefully that will
help you and show you the way to
actually use the Google Nick collection
with photos and it's not super intuitive
again you gotta go to some hoops juggle
things around and whatnot and go back in
for it so it is not ideal but again if
he has like photos you like to you
organized and nice things are and then
the collection is a lot of things you
can do with it you just need to learn
how to use it all rights if you have any
