Minecraft :: Captive Minecraft 3 #1 - "Rise of Atlantis"

We're stuck in a World Border again, this time it's Captive Minecraft 3! We start in a 1x1 box using the new World Border effect, and it expands half a block in all four directions every time you get an achievement. After asking for a harder map at the end of CM2, the Farlanders made Captive Minecraft 3 much more difficult just for me! Hooray!

well here we go again
you guys asked for it so you got it we
are back in another captive minecraft
map this is Captain of my craft three
just came out a few days ago and one of
the things i said in my sort of closing
remarks at the end of captive minecraft
- is that I enjoyed the maps a lot but i
would like a harder one for the next one
if they could please do that would be
awesome and guess what they obliged and
they even say in the the patch notes or
whatever and you can see those on the
web page where you can download this map
you can find a link for that in the
description but they say that they made
the map harder because i asked them to
and so hashtag blame zisteau also you
may notice you can kind of see through
some of these blocks
these are the new water temple blocks
you can kind of see through them if you
look at them at the right angle that is
a snapshot bug we are in
mmm w 33 see I think something like that
it says in the download page where to
download it
so anyway we are at the beginning of a
new whoa
a new captain minecraft map i really
like these maps so I'm excited to play
it
the achievement pain is units look a
little bit different maybe that's
because I'm not used to looking at it
not completed but we have a new
achievement pain a new achievement tree
to work on
if you're not familiar with captive
minecraft you start off in a one by one
world border and every time you get an
achievement like opening your inventory
that's the first one
the world border expands half a block
like that right what was it what did
that say you still increased the world
border by achieving taking in for
inventory it said something about
dynamic world border or something like
that
now I
what is that there's still 00 it moved
whoa
ok so i watch the trailer for this map
and one of the things it said in the
trailer in the comments section with
someone was reporting I think the world
borders following me around is that
supposed to happen and I sort of thought
they they hadn't played the map before
and they were confused and I thought
they meant that it was just expanding
but no it is following me around
I guess that's why we're in this bedrock
box ok so let's look around let's take
stock of our situation
the map is called or subtitled rise of
Atlantis and we've got the new water
temple stuff coming up in 1.8 and we're
in the snapshot that includes it
these are some of the blocks so it looks
like we're going to have some water
theme the the the trailer has some
temple Guardians as well
ok so we've got some water this is the
new lantern block I don't know exactly
what the title of it is
we've got bed rock walls let's see
can I break this
yeah I could I can't I definitely can
however i'm not going to get any blocks
from that so let's not break it if we're
not going to get anything from it and
yeah there is a one by one
bedrock hole there i'm noticing we can
fit through this hole right there
don't know if there's anything behind
that we can fit through that hole there
ok and we are
let's see we are at 1000 1000 that's
where the the map and the second one
started I don't remember where we were
in the first one might have been the
same place but we are all the way down
at 12 why elevation so we're near the
very bottom of the map we have to go up
have to find a way to go up
I think probably first thing we have to
go through there right
and I see some soul sand
what was that you see that we can
definitely get this soul sand me refill
my bubbles
alright so there's one and two and
there's one of the other side
I think in that world border just
follows us that's cool okay so I guess
what that means is that will only be
able to interact with things that are
one block away from us within the world
border
so for instance i cannot break this
block
I can't click on it or anything but if
it's it within the world border you can
interact with it okay so let's take a
look
we could break these blocks but it's
probably just going to be bedrock there
let's not waste our time we've got one
by one holes let's restore balls i would
really like a night-vision potion for
stuff like this but we'll make do with
what we have ok
mmm oh wait what's this that's chest
ok there's a chest so there's a chest in
those two corners
I can't really see over there
can't tell and can't tell ok so there's
chest in those corners
we probably need to get through this gap
to do that
okay i still can't interact with that
because the world border so let's come
down here i'm going to place that block
there
we've got three
ok ok let me see me come down here then
this needs to be within the World War
this is a strange this is a little bit
of a new game mechanic that I don't have
any sort of history dealing with only
being able to injured interact with
things
a block away that was a zombie zombie
somewhere okay we can get through here
and then there's water see what if we
swim up
we need to I need to be very careful
about my bubbles need to be very careful
we don't have much of a timer here we go
up that way
I basically i want to peek in a peek out
look around we definitely want to get
the stuff that's in his chest over these
air bubbles here
can I breathe here No
ok let's let's go back to the whole
quickly that's good
one of the patch notes are one of the on
the web page where you downloaded they
say something to look out for is the
this Lantern block i'm just going to
call the lantern the lantern blocks
right there
when you see those they mean that means
that there is in a breathing space above
them
so I guess we're in that right now we're
in the breathing space
so if we see those in the future that
may be there that means there's one
above that up there somewhere
ok so what we need to do we need to swim
down to that one
get it quickly and try to get back up
here before we drown and then repeat the
process with that one and then see what
we can do with what we get when you got
to get close to it and get everything
what's that helmet respiration
they put that on maybe that'll help
however that that will definitely help
oh yes okay that's very very helpful
very helpful

you know we also are limited in the
amount of food we have a look at me I've
got like a little like a hair net
but we're limited the amount of food so
we need to be careful and not jump
around too much
not waste our hunger bar all right we
need to get this one this one should be
a little easier with the respiration
good
ok let's go back oh yes the respiration
put helps so much what we've only used
to air bubbles to get that
ok so obvious next step would be to get
others three of these and this one is
boarded up
there's three of these gaps we've got
the respiration we've got a sword
we have a clay block if you remember
from captive minecraft - there is a room
of monuments where you put various
different died
Staind clays hard and stained clay or
whatever they're the actual title is you
gotta put those in the room of monuments
to get rewards we want to save this
stuff and not use it
all right Oh next thing i want is these
chests I want to break them
so that's what we're going to do next
looks like there's definitely a block
underneath it and see where we have
enough time to do this and not drown
I need I think - bubbles to get back up
there
three would be better to have enough
time
this is coming down to the wire grab it
yeah definitely have enough time may
take
oh that is enter a little air pocket i
got a bubble back
maybe that's a property of the
enchantment
kinda like how I'm breaking will
sometimes give you uses back in like you
have ghosts items i don't know i don't
use respiration much
I don't spend much time underwater so
the world border in the being underwater
a whole time is a little bit unusual
which i think is cool
it's nice to see a new mechanic in a map
or at least a mechanic I haven't dealt
with off
I don't think anyone's use the dynamic
world border thing
ok there's a chest there i don't know if
it's a part of the newest snapshot or
what
ok so we did that good
next we want to get the next chests
look at the items and then the chests
what do we got here another soared
respiration to book
ok I probably best to come out that way
but I will break the chest in a minute
but first let's just get the things in
the chests
I think we're doing okay so far what we
have in this one
ok good let's refresh our air bubbles
all this is what I'll do
I don't have a staircase leading here
but this is closer to that than the one
with my staircase wanted to use this and
we'll come down here we'll get this
chest
actually yeah let's do this we'll get
this chest then i will do the same thing
get the other one and then I guess the
next step would be to try to get out of
here
the block underneath it is i don't i
don't think i can get it without having
a proper tool so maybe what we'll have
to do is stack these chests and ours
yeah this is the lantern we can't get
that without a pic next thing we'll do
is stack the the chest to try to climb
out through the center i think that's
probably the way to go
the soul sand and the the chest we might
be able to get up there
what's these books respiration one
respiration -
respiration wants you can get a
respiration three out of that on a new
home
ok let's see this one has more uses
let's put that there
don't particularly have a use for all
these raw fish
we may have to end up using that ok

so this right that right there on the on
that corner at the top
I guess that's that's not an
air-breathing pocket it's just there
must be current they're like it's not a
full source blog or something
all right here we go grab this one
so with this will have a four chests and
then three pieces of soul sand and then
one clay block
that's eight blocks and then i think i
have five clay which will get me a 9th
block and we we should be able to come
back eventually we're going to have a
pickaxe will be able to come back here
at least i think so
and get this stuff back i do want to get
the clay back later for use in the
monument so we got two of these and that
and you can break these with a shovel to
get these clay things back if we want to
turn those into bricks but we don't we
want these we want to harden these into
hardened clay and a furnace eventually
for the room monuments but for now I
think we probably need to use them to
get here we've got 4 7:10 with those
three
ok so 10 blocks
and I don't see anything else here we
can do that
okay so uh one of the things in the
trailer it says there's custom orders i
think that maybe one of the customers
i'm not sure how that works
some sort of command block trickery

and didn't give me the clay block back
which would be a bug with the map but if
it broke them

reverted that back to its original form

to get out of the room
by making this by completing this
monument i sort of miss that monument
completes all right where's the gift
water water came down from there
ok is that the gift and then we get
these back
will this turn off the
maybe this will turn off what we just
got our can we not get those back
without a tool that I just break those
rhythmically now we got him back okay

where should I put this I kind of want
to bar this so that things can't get
through there is that the new I can't
quite tell i think that's the one of the

my food bar has started to decline I
would like to be able to make a furnace
and cook this fish first
that would be idea okay so if I don't
move my foot bar will not move down my
saturation won't decline or anything
like that
so I've got 12 planks let's think about
this there's no monsters coming
that's not being a super duper rush
let's think about it okay well first
things first then would pick or no
that's not first things first
sticks then it would pick

right now we need to make a different
pic i also want a furnace
let's take a look at the achievement
pain to see the sequence so i got this
one we can skip straight to hot topic
what I'm thinking is that instead of
making a stone pickaxe i will use the
rest of this to make a furnace first
with my would be X and then we will go i
get more wood ear hole
I'm waiting for one of these to be a
whole lot more monsters to drop down
that would be kind of a dirty thing to
do which is why I anticipated
so I want to make the furnace first I
guess we can just go and do both

furnace hot topic then we can do the
upgrade
good getting an upgrade you can kind of
chest here
one wheat to both you know what let's
start putting stuff in the chest and I
don't want to use right now
don't need those those are books either
or any of that stuff

what I would really love is some coal to
cook the food with so I'm gonna try to
move as little as possible
gather up the stone and then we will
cook up the fish

okay well this is a water theme to map
assume we're going to need boats will
also need to make a hole
I'm gonna make it out of stone because
until we get trees the wood will be
limited
that was a mistake I made in Captain
minecraft - I made my first whole lot of
wood thinking stone would be limited
like it was a super hostile map
that's kind of the the style of X goes
with giving you very limited amounts of
stone quickly swept through here
there's something there I can't really
tell this is darkness or ceiling at the
ceiling okay i still see all these
monsters
ok well let's see what's next
bake bread cake we're not even close to
counter probably not close to my yeah
not worried about this not chapel won't
happen for some time
catch and cook a fish ok that's an
achievement we're about to do and then
after that it's basically going to be
smelting iron ingots
ok let's see let's take the eight fish
all go and stick them in there can i get
to the call yet
that is one achievement away that stinks
you did that on purpose people I'm gonna
put the boats in there and the food in
here give me these boats boats you go in
there we are organizing this place

the monsters are ok there's the ok

achievement i needed good excellence and
there's a bunch of towards here which is
also high also good and I protected
this is where the rewards will come when
we do things
I think I guess the achievement for the
clay pedestal to claim on you when we
did below was that we got that water
thing

spout that came down to let us escape

ok then we've got more torches in here
than we need
so I'm going to grab full spider spawner

I'm not rejecting health because of the
food issue

all kinds of darkness in here to have
any torches no I ran out

get with stone

we can probably eat the fish but by am
cooked fish
ok delicious fish sweet achievement gets
that's a pretty good amount of progress
they're delicious fish taken
let's melt up the iron there we go
that's eight iron ingots that's a pretty
good start
we made it out of the first room there's
another monument there which will get to
we still won't be able to see it after
we get this iron ingots achievements but
we are well on our way
let's see what else can we get what we
can get this

go ahead want to snag that so we can
reach this well potion of leaping jump
boost - okay we're gonna have to i'm
going to wait to use that for when it's
super necessary for is Marine crystals
I have no idea what those are for that's
part of the resource pack those are
custom items and emeralds I'm just going
to leave that stuff there there's the
portal to the end
sweet i am super excited for this map
