How To Convert FLAC to MP3!

This video will show you how to convert FLAC audio files to high-quality mp3 files!
This process is simpler than you may presume!

hey guys in this video I'm going to show
you how to convert your flak music files
to high-quality mp3 music files for
programs like itunes so this works on
all operating systems what you want to
do is go to audacity is websites because
the program we're going to be using is
audacity this is a nice free open source
audio program developer windows mac and
linux so you can go ahead and download
one according to your operating system
so for demonstration I have flac files
of radiohead's hailed to the thief i had
the entire album here in flac so say I
want to convert that you mp3 all i have
to do is open audacity and I could just
go ahead and drag and drop the files in
George acid and just wait for it to
render so the whole speed this process
sort of varies on your cpu and if it's
low and high end low voltage high
voltage so yeah just keep that in mind
anyhow once we have the files loaded and
audacity all you have to do is go to
file and then we're going to want to
click export multiple so here's where
all this stuff for here's worth a juice
in the meats is of this whole process so
here we just want to click mp3 files of
course you have the option to convert to
aiff which is apple lossless which could
be pretty handy but we're doing mp3 in
this case we want to go to options and
then go to Constance go to 320 of course
we want to encode in 320 kilobits per
second
now all this is up for alteration or
interpretation because of course if you
want to encode it in 192 kilobits per
second you can go ahead and do that
I mean but if you want audio quality
that rivals that of flac audio files
you're going to want to go to the
maximum which is 320 colors four seconds
so yeah these are my settings that i use
their probably the best out of these
settings here so go ahead and click OK
when you're done
choose your export location i'm just
going to create a folder on my desktop i
will call its tail to see if I suppose
and drag it there so you can see it and
yes so we can just go ahead choose that
location let's go to desktop
and here it is hail to the chief let's
just click ok so it's going to export
right into that folder which is pretty
nice so now it's going to export right
into that handy little folder on my
desktop so we can go ahead and exports
you also have additional options of
course if you want to have prefixes
beforehand I don't really care for any
of that so here you go you can go ahead
and edit the metadata i prefer just
removing the track number beforehand
that's just something I prefer to do
before exporting you don't really have
to because of course it's just something
with me so I just go ahead and
systematically deletes the prefix
beforehand so once i go ahead and do
that and so now that i've edited the
metadata of all the songs i can go ahead
and click OK for the final song and it's
going to go ahead and automatically
export all of the songs into my handy
little folder
and now we're done that didn't take long
in this folder we have the mp3 files in
this folder we have the FLAC files
it's basically the same thing if we go
to this song for example go to
properties this is 7.6 megabytes and if
we go here go to properties is this 22.3
so it kinda down is sixty-six percent
which is pretty cool
