Reset a Windows 8 Password for FREE

If you've forgotten your Windows password and don't have a password reset or recovery, CD, don't worry. Because I will show you a free and simple way of removing a lost password.
So in this video I will show you how to reset forgotten Windows 8 password or any other Windows password with System Rescue CD. We will use this free software to clear our windows 8 password.

1) Type: fdisk -l

2) Type: ntfs-3g /dev/sda2 /mnt/windows --o force (replace /dev/sda2 with your partition)

3) Type: cd /mnt/windows/Windows/System32/config

4) chntpw --l SAM

5) chntpw --u "Britec" SAM (change user to your username)

6) All done

SystemRescueCd is a Linux system rescue disk available as a bootable CD-ROM or USB stick for administrating or repairing your system

what you guys a while ago I made a video
on how to reset your windows 8 password
with a program called ms start and I'll
go quite large response from people
asking is it possible we can make a
video shown how to do it for free
so i'm going to show you how to do it
for free with a program called system
rescue CD is a linux-based CD and it's
about 40 and 20 megabytes download
ok so this our windows 8 machine here
and we're going to do here is to show
you that it's got a password on it and
we're going to remove this with system
rescue CD this reboot to our system
rescue CD USB or CD drive or whatever
you want to boot -
okay so now we've got our system rescue
CD free . 8.0 and the web address you
want is next to it there you can see
that they're so we want to select option
one here
no writing will come up on the screen
just let it load up now you can choose
your keyboard choice here so I'm just
going to go ahead and select enter or
you can put in 40 if you're in the UK
like so and push enter now we've got to
this location
we need to find out what drives and
partitions on this system so what we're
going to do here is type f disk space -
L
and that's going to list the drives on
here and as you can see we've got to
hear sda1 an SDA to the one we want is
sta - okay so the next command we need
to type in ntfs dash 3g and in space
forward slash TV and in the drive that
we need to load up the SSD a 2 in space
/em NT 4 / windows space
- oh that's not zero and enforce and
once we got that done we need to change
our directory to config
so we're going to go CD space /em NT
windows and then
/and in a capital W for windows and then
for / and a capital S 4 system 32
and then for / conflict now that
selected we need to load up here Sam
file so we're gonna start CH and tpw
space
- L and in Sam in capital letters
lights out and know that lists all the
users on this hard drive and as you can
see we need to load up
Crytek here yours will be whatever one
you need to load up so we need to do CH
n t pw
- you and then we need to put in the
name in a very common is there and in
space
Sam well that's going to do is now going
to give us the option to clear the
password
so we're going to push one and then
enter and that's going to clear the
password with a blank
it's going to say you sure you want to
do that say why yes and then we need to
type reboot to prove the system and
remove the CD
once it's shut that all down to let it
reboot here
it's going to kill all that signal and
shut it down
just let windows now boot up and it
should go straight into the desktop
and there you have it 1password removed
and you can think
carry on with what you needed to do so
that's basically how you reset will
remove a windows 8 password for free
using system rescue CD i will put all
