Check out iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac
Quick "infomercial" describing the Mac version of the software (ver. 4.0.1) for making and downloading software.
Closed Caption:
Hello, welcome to a quick infomercial of sorts. I would like to demonstrate a piece of software called
iMedia Converter Deluxe, that comes from the folks at iSkysoft.
This is their Mac version of the software that allows users to produce video clips from DVDs,
and to download videos from online sites.
This is only meant to be a demonstration, so I will not go into the details of the software.
Such a video tutorial would easily be all of five minutes long.
In other words, making video clips and downloading videos are very easy tasks.
Let's get started.
I already have a DVD in the drive. It's Kill Bill volume 1.
And I just need to click on the 'edit' button that will put up a new window.
The DVD will start playing, which is important and necessary in case you don't know where you want
your clip to start and stop.
However, I already do, so I will turn that off, readjust this a little bit, and I have entered in the starting and ending
points, by hand here. It will be about a minute long, to get this going I simply click on 'done.'
Now point out that I could change the language of the clip if it's available on the DVD.
And also if it's available on the DVD, I could create this with subtitles, in any other language the DVD supports.
This clip will be a QuickTime movie - I could choose any number of video formats, I could choose a format that is
specific to a certain device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
And I could choose a format that is made specifically for uploading to online sites.
But let's make a simple QuickTime movie. Hit the convert button.
There - that didn't take very long. Now let's go to an online site.
I'm going to demonstrate with a YouTube video - We don't need to watch the clip.
What I'll point out is as I mouse over the clip, a little download tab will pop up.
I simply click that. There are two resolutions available. I'll choose greater of these.
And it's going to analyze the video and download it.
It's already done.
There's the video downloaded.
There you have it. Very good quality.
Ok, very good quality once again.
Hey - it's really that simple.
You could be making videos for your class, downloading videos for your assignments, very quickly.
Thank you very much.
