guide us through operation flashpoint
red river Shaun tell us what mission
were on here
ok so we're in the air campaign on
mission 8 which is the first mission of
the third act of the campaign and
basically this is where the US starts to
get on this wonderful and take the power
back to the PLA
the goal of this mission ultimately is
to capture the esophagus which is a
large portion we want you to be on the
road and there we go get my god there is
there that's where we know the payout
holdout like a death star basically
we're going to take those guys are
pushing all out there a long mission
probably takes about an hour to get all
the way they're pretty much the average
length of our missions in its been in
red river
no no we notice right off the bat that
the the lighting is a lot more dramatic
in this game than the previous operation
flashpoint looks like there's even a bit
of a crossover from the dirt franchise
that you guys do right
yeah that's why we're really pleased
with the games look at what we are
actually doing is we're using the same
lighting tech and bf extech and
post-processing tech that the racing
studio use as well so sorry go tech
basically you are buying all of our code
across all of the games and as you say I
mean it really listen to this guy James

ok so moving it also doesn't mean you
get the glare in your eyes as well so
you really got to watch what you're
doing all right
keeping my fighting now so you have four
players here we go for playing live as
well so i'm going to keep following
these guys to make sure we're doing the
right thing so i'm heading back to the

well we're heading over there can you
describe how the squad system works in
this game particularly how classes are
made up of course so that the game is
really built around four player co-op
from the ground up so for men and the
fire team and for classes to choose from
as well for classes are right woman who

jack-of-all-trades the Grenadiers which
i'm playing ass user very much more
impact he is a specialist in close
quarters battle and the coordinates and
explosives and Scout looking at now he's

on whether specializations which means i
can heal myself quicker and normally
this would be a little bit slower
we've actually maxed out most the
characters and the damage is pretty
worth pointing out is so and you guys

scared for the bottom

mission is a lot of guys here so we've
actually been given the opportunity for
the Nationals

the way I go all like it's nice to me
down we go for everybody who doesn't
have the pleasure of actually playing
right now can you describe the the feel
of the controls or what's what sort of
weight there is and what the effect of
physics has on the firearm absolutely so
we've really going to town on the kind
of behind the good experience is one of
the big things we wanted to push out so
often just the models as well you can
see they're really pretty dirty take
together and so on
we tried to give each going its own
handling so I got em for here and I
switched my mp5 it's much quicker you
can see straight away that but your
response to the close quarters combat
weapon a i picked up the APK p or one of
the big big big machine guns
you really have you like tracking a dog
around that we're actually gonna take
inspiration from the racing studio for
that in the same way that you know you
drive open till their big likely to a
Ferrari you really feel the difference
in the handling capabilities we try to
do the same thing here
I'm so you really really get this as
well as that we still got our and along
ballistic physics so the bullets
actually have real physics basically and
their can see ricochet
it's actually a real object that's this
week showing off something exciting
topic velocity and so on and it can
still kill you have been blocked by a
couple of ricochets in that also been
playing the games they really got to
keep your head down to be careful when
he saw the whole idea is to create a
real visual experience basically have
seen this stuff kind of a missing part
bullets whizzing past your head hit the
desk in front of your face etc will give
you the fear basically that's the idea

I think we did a pretty good job of
