One basic use of GiMeSpace.com Desktop Extender 3D

This 1080p video screen capture is of a 2560 x 1440 Dell 27" monitor.

However, the yellow line rectangular boundary in the video defines a huge desktop--a 25600 x 14400 region--which is a customization setting in GiMeSpace.com Desktop Extender 3D:

In other words the images I chose for the video are reasonably large (much larger resolution than fits on the Dell monitor) so as to help demonstrate the large desktop capabilities of GMS 3D.

The images in this video come from APOD posts: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html

This video mainly shows the large "zoom-able" desktop & window size extension features of GiMeSpace 3D as well as several different ways of moving around the huge GiMeSpace 3D desktop.

When the desktop view appears to "jump" in this video it is because I am using either a GiMeSpace hotkey to center the deskspace or a hotkey to switch between the normal screen resolution and the zooming 3D view.

I call this video a "basic" use of GiMeSpace 3D, because my usual use is more extensive so the added demand on the gpu of video screen capture tends to result in choppy video.

The machine for this video happens to be running Windows 8.1 x64.

My more extensive use involves using GMS 3D in conjunction with:

9 Dexpot Virtual Desktops: http://dexpot.de/?lang=en

as well as Stardock WindowFX momentum dragging, Stardock Fences, Stardock WindowBlinds, & Stardock ModernMix:

I tend to like to use a Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch with the above program ensemble since I can assign a lot of hotkeys and use the pen to "walk" the extended desktop space as shown towards the end of this video (like how you can "walk" a mouse cursor but in this case the cursor is actually the large desktop space.)

A couple prior (more choppy) videos--actual use is very smooth even during video capture, just that the video capture itself is not smooth due to gpu limitations--that I made happened to be on a Windows 7 sp1 x64 system & show a bit more of a feel for an "extensive" use of the above programs (actually just GMS & Dexpot at that time) on either win7 or win8 platforms:

(this next video is very choppy, view at your own risk): http://youtu.be/OBSGerr1RWk

Why did i make these videos? Because finding these 3 sources of excellent software & figuring out that they work together in an internet sea of less capable & conflicting programs took many months & I would have rather had this experience based knowledge handed to me as it is in this post.

Enjoy!
