Sesame Street: Blue Jay Song
One fine evening, a blue jay had a party. The nest was full and everyone had a good time. When the party came to an end, the robin flew away, and the pigeon hailed a cab, and all the other birdies found their way home until the nest was finally empty. Empty is a word that means when something, like a nest doesn't have anything in it.

OWL: This blue
jay's nest is empty.
Empty is a word that means
when something-- like a nest--
doesn't have anything in it.
There are 0 birds in the nest.
Let's see what happens when
he invites his friends over.
SINGER: [SINGING], fine evening
the blue jay had a party.
9 birds all together,
blue jay and his friends.
The nest was full, and
everyone had a good time.
Now they say goodnight,
farewell, and see you again.
CHORUS: [SINGING], The robin
flew away into the night.
SINGER: The pigeon hailed
a cab and was out of sight.
CHORUS: The penguin put
a hat on and skied away.
SINGER: The duck
put on a jet pack,
waved goodbye to blue jay.
OWL: There were 9
birds in the next.
But now there are 5.
Is it empty yet?
CHILDREN OFFSCREEN: No!
OWL: That's right.
SINGER: The toucan
grabbed a skateboard,
and so did the crane.
The peacock grabbed a
ladder and was carried away.
There was a guest left,
and she was a flamingo.
Jumped out of the
nest, but she was OK.
CHORUS: The blue jay waved
goodbye to his guests.
SINGER: And he looked around
and saw a phone in his nest.
CHORUS: Looks like Mr. Robin
left it here by mistake.
SINGER: I'll fly it back to him.
I hope he's still awake.
OWL: Take a look
at the nest now.
How many birds are left?
CHILDREN OFFSCREEN: 0!
OWL: That's right.
So, is the empty now?
CHILDREN OFFSCREEN: Yea!
OWL: All right.
ONE DIRECTION:
This letter's "U".
You know it's true.
It starts some words.
There are more than a few-ew-ew.
"U" starts "uh" and "ugh"
and "up." "U" starts "udon."
There's some in this cup-uh-up.
