Angela talk a little bit about your bike
training you know i mean it seems like
you know you definitely one of the
fastest cyclist in the sport isn't all
your Hill training
what would you tribute to see I know
well there's no secrets really we just
train hard on the bike on the biggest
thing is i love hill's so I try to train
on on a terrine that i love and so if I
love hell's I just I'm up them it's a
good way to just kind of keep a
sustained effort at the same time you
know and being here in Boulder you have
left hand Canyon you can go up to think
21 miles or 20 miles to Brainerd and you
know that's a long effort so to be able
to do that a couple times throughout the
week
it really helps with my training and
that's again why we're down in Arizona
having that lemon there is just a dream
really
and also here in Boulder did you just
for the training having the long
sustained efforts out to Masonville is a
good one
you know happen there's no real secret
stood it's just you know have a couple
of days trying to challenge yourself on
the bike and and try to make it like a
race that you have in the future

it's gonna last year which is pretty
darn good
and certainly shooting for wind gonna
this year what why boulder and talk to
us a little bit about training boulder
all obviously training involves you know
quite something to get used to the
altitude the first time I was here and
didn't live it in johannesburg which is
a little higher than this in altitude so
I didn't bet it also you know I figured
coming back here we were in Tucson last
year before corner training there and
obviously had a pretty good result but
you know i just found the training in
the heating tucson was totally totally
different to the heating you know why
and I didn't get the felt it and really
helped me that much you know training in
extremely because Hawaii space is not
really that hard it's just the humidity
that gets to you so I figured we needed
a change and we had been here in 2003 so
it come back to boulder and you know
being as is obviously fantastic it's a
great great town city it's a little bit
bigger than the city i live in back in
South Africa but no it's um it's been a
struggle the first six or seven weeks
that never really taken a toll on me you
know just with the breathing i have been
diagnosed with some nice man you know
within the last three years so that
might have had had a bit of an effect
but i think it eventually coming right
the last 10 days or more for two weeks
ever started feeling pretty good and not
like I wanted to get a racing so you
have obviously being right here in
boulder which you know be bitterly not
to do it and then have to travel into a
traveling so just stay here and do this
race instead of traveling to sea level
and trying to raise their
it's a useful or not it's not raining
boulders just nice you know its attitude
it's flat but it's also Shelley's i
really enjoy that but i believe that LG
real altitude training means sleeping
high and trained as low as you can see
my philosophy is basically sleeping hi
come down here for training so basically
don't train up there the reasons also my
wife because I you know we kind of want
to get out of the hole craziness of
traveling here in boulder and live a
normal life apart from traveling so we
get a little break there's a little
happy place up there you know it's
beautiful it's just a thousand people
live up there beautiful places for
dinner and breakfast i love that German
breakfast very special
well apart from that I mean the scene
here is still something that draws my
attention that's why I'm actually here
because you have a lot of groups and you
know I'm getting older every one is
getting older so you know it did its
every year gets tougher to train and
it's nice to have those groups if you
choose to have them it's also nice to do
your own training that I think it's a
perfect mix over here and well it's just
you see all the guys that I hear you
know it's tough it's every day you can
have a race so i really enjoy being here
for two months and going straight to
cone on this is what it's all about for
me this year

that similar sort of climate by driving
test nine year and like I'm from a city
like 70 80 thousand people so our models
my second home and yeah it's very soon
like this anymore r.i.p here but apart
from that three mountains nothing
continue as well so look you in your
home town we are also i have always won
this race once and finish fifth like
three years ago and i watched people
like to my daughter and any parts we
that's great where there's no way that
I'm especially inequality fjord and yeah
and I'm really really happy
