earnings
let's look a little bit more closely at
using
looks presets the first explain this
project here I basically have this 4k
red footage session just a single still
image let's 4,096 by 2160 pixels
and its in 8.2k composition so it's
scaled-down
the reason why want to show it to you is
because what we're gonna see with looks
is actually
pretty great it's not going to only
apply the effect to just what we can see
in the comp
it's going to apply to the whole image
regardless
above the scale settings are regardless
how it's framed in the composition which
is really great
so I applied looks and when click the
edit button to open the
looks editor and now we go over the left
you could see that
there's this huge tree here in CA that
tree in
the after affects whether they're and
now we could see the whole entire shot
which again is really great for grading
to be decided later on to move the shot
who are to be graded in it will already
be in a way that's
predictable killed know what it's going
to look like now to go over to the left
and he site here again we have
again these presets we have the basic
presets which to use very
basic things just cool it warm it
contrasts sharpen
oftentimes you want to go in and maybe
apply this preset
and then go into you let's say for
example warm and cool
a quick on that adjustment that tool and
we'll go over to the
over to the controls the upper right
hand corner and I'll get to that
back a little bit we might want to you
takedown
the wharf and increase the call this a
little bit
more so it's not as warm we also might
want to take down the tent level
sowie to the tools will have different
parameters you can use
to adjust your footage I often like to
think up these presets
as kinda jumping-off points ways to get
started
remember that as you change another
preset here as we put another look
it's going to completely replace
everything
that was there before it so that
when you click on a preset let's say
romance for example
everything that's here from this in deep
recesses Guinea completely gone
when we click the romance preset that
could be rude awakening
if you're not ready for it so be aware
that and a quicker one of these that's
kind of hard core let's say
the Mexico Kali preset really harsh
really strong
as its intended to be but it's still
kinda overkill as I find a lot of these
looks are so what I'm gonna do you gonna
do something different mccook quick
finished
and what I wanna do is come down here to
you the composition panel
a man or right-click shoes new
adjustment layer what I'm gonna do you
is out with a quick on looks unaware
that I applied looks to you
I'm gonna press Command X on the Mac our
control
X on the PC to cut that select the
adjustment layer
press Command v on the Mac or control
v toothpaste that affect the adjustment
layer selected
and now that it's on an adjustment layer
thank you all kinds of cool stuff to it
I could change the blend mode
to you let's say saw flight maybe
sick that back to normal I can also
press the letter T to open up the a
pasady
for that adjustment layer and I could
dial it down by taking down the opacity
to get a better effect its utmost
clients such as found Cut Pro 7
there will be a mix slider and you
actually dial back the looker the
strength of the look using the exciter
that's an amazing features I really wish
were universal through all the host
applications but
its it's not unfortunately but this'll
work around with the adjustment layer
does
definitely help the flexibility love
looks quite a bit
nothing it's kinda cool is if we go over
to the red giant website
Red Giant Software dot com and I'm on
the Magic Bullet Looks
page and I'm going to scroll down a
little bit
is actually a presets had here is
explain the features and all that kind
of stuff well as marketing stuff
click on presets as this really nice
gallery above what the presets look like
and the categories are happier at the
top click on
emulation and then now here's all the
emulation presets for example and I
could mouse over this and actually see
video footage
above what this looks like playing back
mishandled negative color reversal
old-style as we
browse through those presets and we see
with their what they're doing
without having to manually click on
apply all of them
the help files that ship with Magic
Bullet Looks also contain a gallery of
the presets
so again looks are a great way to jump
in and get started with Magic Bullet
Looks
I find them to be a little bit overkill
but the are great jumping-off points
and they really help if you're using an
adjustment layer and after factoring
premier
or if you're using that makes later

Magic Bullet Denoiser 2 Trial and Comparison
Magic Bullet Denoiser 2 Trial and Comparison

With the launch of the new Red Giant Denoiser 2 I wanted to see how how this update was able to change the final picture compared to the original Denoiser. Though a RED MX is far from being considered noisy at 2000 iso, this is pixel movement and color shift on the pixel level. With the compression from 4.K WS down to 1080p, and then from RedRaw to ProRes 422 HQ, and finally to YouTube's compression, there is noticeable blocking of colors seen on large stretches of mid value colors. ...

Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM | Magic Bullet Denoiser 2 | Poker Home Game

We had a Poker Homegame with friends (No limit texas holdem), made this video with my Canon 600D and sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. Filmed on f/2.8, ISO3200. Used Magic Bullet Denoiser 2 to get rid of the noise. Color correction done with Magic Bullet Mojo. The flickering is caused by bad lighting above the table combined with my shutter speed.
