Minecraft Tutorial: Modern Garden Landscape Design Ideas (Modern House Build Ep. 22)

Well hello there, GoodTimesWithScar here bringing you a new creative building series of step-by-step videos. The videos are a series of tutorials on how to build houses and other awesome builds. We will go over all the aspects of making a cool looking house or structures from the layout, building design and interior design. For the first modern house project we will make a large mansion style house. The house will be made out of quartz, spruce wood and cyan hardened clay. In episode 22 I will show you how to make a modern garden landscape for your house. We will make a cool modern fence, pathway and hedges with a lot of flowers custom plants around the house. hello there my fellow - and crafters
good times with scar here bringing you
another creative fun time at the service
car as we continue to move this amazing
modern house and in today's episode we
are going to work on the front yard so
we're gonna have to put our garden had
on we're going to make trees and lawns
and had you working all sorts of other
great stuff so let's get this episode
underwear
alright welcome back to our amazing
modern house and look at this thing is
nearing completion
so in today's episode like I said we're
going to work on the front yard we're
gonna build pathways and hedge works and
all sorts of other great stuff but let's
take a look at what we did in our last
episode here is our horse garage so we
got our horses all parked in here we've
got our supplies on our shelves and
decorations and all that stuff
we've got an awesome garage door looks
amazing
works like a charm and yeah so we've got
some decorations over here and all ready
to go
so let's just pop in the house real
quick and i want to show you guys the
backyard real quick which maybe I should
just flown over but as you can see
outside we are ready for something pool
and all sorts of amazing things we want
to build that they're like barbecues and
different things like that maybe even
some type of sports
sporting activity what do you guys think
should we build some type of tennis
court or basketball court or something
out there we have a lot of room so if
you think of any other kind of a
sporting event out there we could put
out there definitely let me know that
would be kind of fun to build
but like I said we're going to work on
our front yard so what we're going to do
here is we're going to start our pathway
and what we're going to use for our
pathway is clay and I think it's kind of
a different little thing
it's not something I you know I would
like to but it's not something I would
use in survival build but for this we
can use different things that we might
not otherwise use in our survivor boat
so that's what the fun part about this
series is we get to do different things
that we don't usually get to do in the
constraints of a survival world
so we're just going to try a couple
different things like that using
material that we don't always use
so it's not like we're going to use
diamond blocks or something along those
lines because that would look ridiculous
but something like this would be to
practical in
survivable ok so I'm gonna bring this
out one more block here and then I'm
going to go for life looks
I go like that three think it's three
what do you think three
so I want this to kind of curve here a
little bit so it's not just a straight
shot
among those continue to work on this a
little bit here
let's see here umm actually gonna go
like that
there we go I think I think something
like that's probably good
yeah that's good yeah let's go one more
out no actually I think I'm gonna come
to call it there
i'm going to call it they're just so it
has a little bit of a curve to it so
it's not just a straight shot every girl
i like that i think that's nice
let's get a quick look at that so
actually measured it out a little bit i
want I don't want to go any farther than
here to work we're going to build a
sidewalk
so I'm just going to click here to dig
this all the way out and yeah so I took
a little while here to kind of flatten
out to train to make it a little bit
nicer for our needs as you can see this
actually the water used to be about
right there but I pushed the dirt a
little bit farther so a little like our
little late got a lot smaller but I
think it'll give it a nicer feel for the
front of the house and bigger lon and
things of that nature
all right there we go i think that's
good probably go out maybe one more for
now and yeah I like that
ok so let's like take out our spruce
leaves actually no
now first we're going to make a little
border here yeah that's right stick in
what we can do with this pod soil is
this is art dirt
so we're going to bring that out like so
and then we're going to take out our
leads and we're going to run those
across there
I'm going to take you out in the middle
there we go
and yeah so I think this is all going to
come out pretty nice if you guys
definitely have any ideas of you know
lawns or plants or different things you
guys think would be awesome in here
definitely let me know because you know
I have a few ideas when I'm just kind of
running off of imagination as we kind of
go I kind of had the path lined up and
stuff like that but for the trees and
things like that i was i was thinking we
could you maybe yeah maybe an olive tree
type designed for our trees
in this area so thinking about that so
what we would do is we would take out
virtual ease and maybe the new i always
forget that would that orangewood the
orange wood so it has that darker and it
has that light gray color to it
I think that might make a nice olive
tree go
perfect and let's run back on over here
and finish the side here and yeah look
at this I think it's starting to know
he's already over here taking a look at
things that's no other than Bob the
building inspector creeper ready to go
anyways in here looking around I saw
sneaking sneaking about
he's sneaking around keep an eye on him
jelly keep an eye on them gently and
nobody's around
you almost took our entire house out and
the last episode of scarlet were quite
up to code
so its death to you mmm all right there
we go
I like that I think that looks pretty
nice that makes a nice pathway along
here but then you know as i'm looking
here got inspiration and you know what
that means take it out
gonna back it up one block here there
you go
yeah so we can plan something there may
be some flowers or something along those
lines
there we go never fear never fear to
destroy what you've made
I think that's something that that I
always used to struggle with a little
bit in art or just in the start of
playing minecraft is if you see
something that's not quite right and you
think man you know that was incredibly
simple but if this house needed to move
a block over
I might even just do it just just to do
it you know so never be never be a
fearful of just knocking down what you
built and trying something a little bit
better try to increase the appeal of it
make it look a little nicer
plus the design a little bit and
there we go perfect okay good i like
that so far so let's just take a little
break a break from that and i am going
to take out this block here and what
we're going to do here is I'm going to
decide where I want to places i think
you go right there
so what we're going to do here is we're
just going to build a little sidewalk
that runs along the side of our house
and then from here what we're going to
do is pretty cool
we're going to create kind of a hedge
work offense but what the support we are
going to use for heads of work
Pence is this box so i think it'll look
pretty nice box of me
there we go that's right
so sorry if my voice is a little bit and
bad today is whenever I whenever I get
weak
you know I something's been going on for
the last couple months now and it's i
get these small I don't know if they're
infections or something and I get really
a key to have a small fever and when
that happens i get really weak and one
of the things that goes out as my voice
it gets really kind of grindy it's the
muscles get weak in there and saliva
kinda can pull up there and it's just
sound like I'm grinding so i apologize
about that
I apologize there we go
and let's see I'm going to make this
come out one more they're perfect
there we go no no that's not correct
No there we go that's what we want
perfect good okay so we got that and now
i'm also thinking about maybe making the
sidewalk Oh out here just a little bit
too
there we go and then of course we'll run
that out this way a little bit more
so you know
so this is just like a little sidewalk
that runs along the house
there we go so it's not really connected
too much but it'll be there just adding
a little bit of place making to make it
look a little bit more believable as a
house there we go
okay here we go perfect so give me one
second let me catch my breath and then
we're going to make one super awesome
fence
alright welcome back so as I was kind of
catching my breath here i decided to do
this side of the fence
so you can kind of get a good look at
what we're going to do so what we have
here is the glass block to high with a
slab of dark chocolate on the top and
then spruce Lee is too high then space
three then two more and then repeat the
process across here
I think that kind of creates kind of
unique kind of cool little design for a
hedge work fence
so we're going to continue that across
here bring that out here and then we fly
on over here and then place on coconuts
down and a slab of chocolate to top it
off
so what we might do when we build our
flower beds on the other side of the
fence which I was kind of thinking about
doing some on the front you know just
give this an extra you know layer of
lots of little babies out there
uh-huh I was thinking about you know
doing another flower bed across here but
I thought I'd push up the fence right
against the sidewalk there
don't want anybody miss me hours all
right so put that hair and then yeah so
just continue this process across here
and then we'll link it up on the other
side of our house over there so we had
that spot right there
so then we'll just continue this across
here and i think it adds kind of a nice
little unique kind of but that's not
right
nice unique modern kind of fence design
I think it's kind of cool kind of cool i
really like i said i've been trying to
use ice a little bit more and some of my
builds and yeah I really like it
yeah I really like it you know what I've
been trying to shy away I don't know if
you guys have been also but from using
any standard glass in new builds and
what I mean by that is I've been trying
to use more stained glass such as the
you know the light gray or the white
I think it looks better than you know
just your standard
who how we're gonna do it right here
maybe something like that
yeah let's do something like that boom
boom
yes i've been using that I think it
looks better than the standard glass
non if you're not using a texture pack
season default so I've been trying to
replace them of the glass and Scarlett
with that too
so when Scotland's up to download and
all when people come on maybe they're
not running my texture pack that goes
with scar land that they you know still
have a decent experience we're looking
at some of the class because it's taught
that a hideous corroded looking good
girl asks that we currently have a
minecraft that you know
come on I mean every texture pack there
is changes the class
you think maybe minecraft dudes would
say you know I think our glasses ugly
maybe we should change it you know we
could always help and death that's gonna
happen unfortunately I don't think there
is a texture pack correct me if I'm
wrong but i'm pretty sure there are no
texture packs out there that don't
address the class in some way or another
or even ones that are just you know just
a small change here or there
I'd they all do something to the class
and rightfully so rightfully so
never going to fan as long as my
craftsman around us that glass
what can I you know it it's all kind of
corroded looking it looks like it's been
like sitting out and now the now it
looks like car like where I live a lot
of times that people when they're tired
of a car they'd like to just kind of
drive it into the the end of the field
and it just sits there for like you know
a couple months years and the class
becomes all kind of frosty cooker
overlooking all right so I'm just going
to make this little little cap and cap
type thing across here
there we go that looks nice okay perfect
and then what do you say about just
another set of pillars on this side to
working perfect
all right there we go I like that I like
that a lot I think that is very nice
so what we could do now a little bit
here
is we can grab a little bit of pot soil
and this is where we're going to plant
all our flowers on this so this will be
kind of our barrier between on and then
let's cut the lawn a little bit here
voice is pretty bad apologize about that
so what we want to do for the lawn is i
have i've asked this before and a lot of
people really like the Harding tread
design
now if you remember correctly we had a
hardened and we had a long desired rate
in Scotland and it was kind of iffy you
know some people like that some people
didn't like it and it was before the for
the implementation of hardened clay that
we did do that design
so Allah and I want you guys to give me
a couple of suggestions
should we do what we did in scarlet with
the leaves or should we do
trying to decide how how I want to make
my pattern go out here or should we
you know maybe shy away from our lead
designer that we didn't Scotland and go
for may be too hard and play with the
two types of colors that's a more common
lon
so definitely know which one you guys
like I was also experimenting possibly
with the food carpet blocks on top of it
but they just didn't quite come out the
way I want it
so definitely look at that pretty soon
too
and yet so let me finish this up and out
to be you right all right and welcome
back taking a look from a bug here so
what I've done now is I've cleared out
all the places where we're going to put
the lawn and I surrounded it with our
console so we got that all kind of
loaded up and ready to go there and as
you can see we fly on over here and you
can see we have a child lon over here
which will be look really amazing and
that right here so i took a little time
while building here to come up with some
ideas some thinking right here actually
probably need to bring that
or maybe something like that to kind of
even that up a little bit we'll work on
that
but will probably put kind of a pillar
tree right here to kind of an anchor
tree that kind of anchors the corners of
the house and then maybe something cool
in the middle here and there may be
another anchor tree right there and then
I'm thinking some decorative trees along
here so we'll do those in the next
episode
just some bushes in this area bushes
along here of course and then
yeah so we'll do some nice a nice little
decorative trees along here at the
entrance to the house and then another
pillar tree over there and things of
that nature so let's actually take a few
minutes here and let's grab out
ass booze remove you for now so let's
just add some decorations over here so i
think this area could use a little bit
of something like this
cancel plans along there and then place
those guys right there and there it is
there's the bone meal so grow those up
to be a big old food and yeah I like
that looks nice
so then we can fly on over here and then
just add some more right there
so I think that looks pretty good i
think that old make this area look a
little bit nicer stuff put those right
there
booyah I don't know I don't know what
we'll see about that
we'll see about that corner right there
because it kind of takes away from that
area so we can just put these pillars up
here like so
there we go bring that guy up one more
in there we go now is that villager done
painting up there yet
he has been up there forever pain that
all right and then
then put that right there and you go
right there and then let's continue that
design on over here going
yes I think this is starting to look
pretty good we have done quite a bit so
this is one of those episodes where were
all a large chunk has changed if you go
back to the beginning and is so now I'll
be all still be here so if you go back
and look at this land before I always
like to go back and kind of see how is
just as big flat green field now we got
some some shapes and some geometry going
here so it looks pretty cool
there we go yeah I like that I like that
a lot
so we could fly on over here now one
thing we can do here is maybe just put
in a couple just you know kind of random
bushes along here maybe
and then you know just add a couple
extra flour here there
yeah let's put that in there we go
so we can kind of continue that design
over here a little bit maybe maybe
instead of putting those that Bush there
maybe we could do a couple of these guys
kind of right up here to some extra
little bushes and then we can plan a
couple of these in here come those guys
and then we can also look around in here
for some other flowers like this one
here and we could stick
you here to here we go and yeah we just
add some more of these guys in and
around here so many other Bush there so
it's not it's not hugely symmetrical
you know we're trying to I least what my
thoughts here work to kind of keep it a
little bit haphazard a little bit i do
want to add a little bit of color other
than just the greens and that whites of
the flowers so kind of go in there a
little bit and see what kind of color we
can actually add in these areas but yeah
so just add a couple you know flowers
here or there
make sure it looks nice we go and stick
a couple of these bushes in here like
that and let's see what you can put my
chemical firms up there may be another
right there
and yeah i think that is starting to
look pretty darn awesome so in the next
episode will definitely get those
amazing trees planted up and all sorts
of other cool things like the lawn so
