Macbook Air 2011 i5 Playing Blu ray at 1080p out to a HDTV

Macbook Air 2011 i5 Model with 4GB RAM playing Blu-ray out to a HDTV from a USB 2.0 powered External Blu-ray Burner !

The device is a LG BP06LU10 External Portable Slim Blu-Ray / DVD Writer (also capable of 3D Playback) with LightScribe. It cost me only $209 (AU). Burn speed is 6x for Blu-rays.

A "Moshi" Mini-Display to HDMI adapter was used for the output to my 1080p HDTV. Picture is great on this, but looks even better (although presumably downscaled to 720p) on my Macbook Air 11.6" model's widescreen display.

I only have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on my Macbook Air. Apparently, Mac OS X doesn't support Blu-ray (unless you rip it).
