User Management: How to Search, Unlock & Reset Passwords

welcome to the sure sign video series
in this video we'll explore user
management how to search unlock and
reset the users password will start on
the homepage of the sure sign portal by
clicking the administration tab you'll
be brought to the administration page
right into the user controls
we have only a few users here but
imagine if you had hundreds of thousands
of users using the search feature allows
us to quickly find the user you're
looking for
even if you don't have all of the
information just put in what you have in
our search we are going to look for
Sally so i'll enter s al ly and press
search you'll see sally has four icons
associated with her account from left to
right there's a picture of an open lock
to unlock a user a key to send a reset
password requests to the email file a
person with a red icon to disable the
account and a pencil for editing the
users information if i were to search
for Billy you'll see his user icons do
not include an open lock signifying that
Billy's account is not locked out
remember I told you that you could use
any portion of the name and we pull up a
list i'll enter just ly and both Sally
and Billy displayed see the difference
in the icons to unlock Sally's account
all I do is click the unlock
I may also want to change Sally's
password I'll just click the key and one
will be sent to her email address on
file
all of these features are also available
in the user edit function for instance
you could assign the user a specific
password you can require the password be
changed on the next login attempt or you
can have the system generates a new
random password and send it by email
under additional actions of Sally's
account we're still locked
you could unlock it here
